Avoid at All Costs – Worst Machine & Customer Service Ever! – If I could give zero stars, I would. This Samsung washer-dryer combo has been nothing but a nightmare. It has broken down TWICE, both times needing a full drum replacement—which is already unacceptable for a supposedly high-quality appliance. But the second time was even worse. The concrete counterweight plate completely broke off, sending… Read more

concrete chunks throughout the internal components. To make matters worse, concrete was literally seeping out of the drain—something I never thought I’d see from a washing machine.

When the technician came out, they immediately escalated the case for a full replacement, which seemed like the obvious solution given the state of the machine. But Samsung’s head technician refused and insisted that it could be repaired. How does Samsung expect a machine filled with concrete debris to ever function properly again?!

Not only is this machine an absolute disaster in terms of reliability, but Samsung’s customer service is beyond awful. They refuse to stand by their product, even when it's clearly defective beyond repair. This is not a cheap appliance, and yet it's built with shockingly poor quality and even worse support.

Save yourself the frustration, money, and the headache—DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. Samsung has lost me as a customer for good.

Misleading Dimensions and Unacceptable Return Policy – I recently purchased this Samsung washing machine (model AU240821-37563079) based on the dimensions listed on your website. Unfortunately, the actual dimensions of the washer were significantly different from what was advertised. The depth of the washer with the lid far exceeds the stated dimensions, making it completely unusable in my space. To… Read more

my dismay, Samsung has refused to accept my return, citing that the product is not faulty. This is incredibly unfair, especially considering the misleading information provided on your website. It's unacceptable that customers are forced to keep products that don't fit their needs, regardless of whether they report the issue within the 14-day return window.

I strongly advise potential buyers to be extremely cautious when considering Samsung washing machines. The company's misleading advertising and rigid return policy make it a risky choice.

HORRIBLE QUALITY AND SERVICE FROM SAMSUNG! – HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM SAMSUNG! Also broke immediately and just not a great machine... Don't buy if your clothes have buttons! I've historically been a big Samsung advocate, using their phones, TVs, etc but am having serious concerns about buying any Samsung products going forward after a few horrible experiences. Here's my story of the washing… Read more

machine. I ordered online direct through Samsung after my very old machine gave in. I called on the estimated delivery day to confirm the time seeing as I hadn't heard anything and was told they didn't even have it yet and would let me know when it would be ready. I get that things aren't always in stock but isn't it part of a well run businesses process to communicate this to consumers and not have us follow up with them on day of supposed delivery?! After I got a refund from Samsung and purchased through a local store I was relatively happy. The dry function uses water so if you want to save water and takes around 3 hours. The wash+dry function takes 7 hours which is certainly not ideal. BUT THEN WASTE EVERYWHERE! Trying to run the<6 month old machine one time it was obviously leaking like hell and after contacting Samsung they sent a technician a few days later. The technician was able to repair it but slugged us $600 for the privilege. So now for those following along a $1,200 has cost $1,800... Feel worth it? I've subsequently been in touch with Samsung support at least half a dozen times over the better part of a year and every time they make me go through everything even though they have the whole ordeal recorded and promise to get back to me in a day or two but never do. I have to contact them AND go through it all over again with a new person, it's been a few months since I've last chased them up and that's just what they want, for me to go away because it's all too hard. Bottom line with the fault/repair is that they claim user error as a coin or button must have dislodged cracking the plastic drum all the while Samsung have swapped out metal for plastic to save money and are producing products that do not meet the requirement for expected disability under section 54 of Australian consumer Law. Above all that they don't deny this, they just ignore you until you go away. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.

Won’t buy one again – Washing /drying was good when it worked. I had a cheap daewoo machine for 14 years. Never had an issue. I have now a Samsung washing machine and it’s broken down twice this year and it’s 3 years old. It is dead as a door nail. I am just one person that just puts on light washes twice a week. Completely turned off Samsung. You shouldn’t have this much trouble with a 3 year machine.

The worst customer service – I purchased a new washer / dryer online on 1st April. Received a message late on 5th April to inform washing machine would be delivered on the afternoon of 6th April. This resulted in me having to take the day off work. On the morning of the 6th April was informed that it was a mistake and I should not have received the message. Samsung then… Read more

informed that the machine was available from the 6th April to be picked up by the courier. However, when checking with the courier, informed that this was not the case (the courier took screenshots of the email correspondence between them and Samsung), who were informed the machine was in the main Samsung warehouse (Yennora) and needed to be transferred to the smaller warehouse of Clyde. Contacting Samsung again on the 7th, was informed it would be delivered on the 8th April. Upon checking on the 8th, was then informed that this was never going to happen. On the 8th, I requested to speak to a manager to lodge a formal complaint. After waiting 3hrs on hold, was told the manager was in a meeting. Questioning the rep to understand what was happening I was then told it would be delivered on 13th April, who then put the phone down on me after I was asking more questions. Fast forward to the 12th, the courier contacted me again to inform the machine was not available to be picked up ready to the 13th. I contacted Samsung again on the 12th to be told it was still within the 2-10 business days of delivery so there was nothing to complain about. Contacted them again today (13th April) to be told it will now be with me on the 20th April which is now 11-business days after purchase (public holidays have played their part). Again I requested to know how to lodge a formal complaint only to have the phone put down on me again. In addition to the above, I have also sent 3-emails that Samsung try and advertise that you can contact them with. Not one email has been replied too. In summary, the reps that I have dealt with have all been liars and seem to follow a script who continually contradict themselves. When questioning the reasoning behind things, they go quiet and then put the phone down. Samsung's advertisement of the machine being available before purchasing is false advertisement, as is the fact it will be with you in 2-10 business days. Their people are not truthful and neither is their advertisement.

Bad machine and worst customer service – After using LG machines all my life, I was dumb enough to buy Samsung’s WD85T554DBW/SA washer and dryer combo - worst mistake of my life!! The machine was bad and within the first week of using it I knew something was wrong – washer is fine but the dryer does not work properly. I wash and dry really small loads, but even then the cloths don’t dry… Read more

completely and have some moisture, even after using the washer and dryer cycle of r 6-7 hours and the “dried” cloths comes with a bad smell. I called Samsung’s customer service number within a week of getting the machine and their customer service is really really terrible, my call was transferred to 3 different team members and I had to repeat my issue each time. Pretty much everyone I spoke to was not helpful (or didn’t want to help). They sent a “Technician” who looked at the machine for few minutes, ran a WASH cycle of 10-15 mins and left saying I will send Samsung the “Report”. I told him that the issue is with DRYER which he didn’t even check. After he left I called Samsung customer service number couple of times and they did not give me any updates. On my third call I was told that my issue is closed – no status update was given to me on previous calls and now the issue was closed – how terrible can their customer service get? After such poor service I didn’t want the machine, I asked for the issue to be escalated and someone to call me back. I was promised someone will call me back – but guess what I got an email a week later saying that Samsung can’t return the machine as their “Technician” doesn’t think anything is wrong with it – the same technician who ran a WASH cycle for 10-15 mins when I told him that the issue is with the DRYER. After such poor experience with Samsung’s customer service team I will never ever buy another Samsung product again in my life and will make sure none of my family or friend buy it either.
