Perfect gift – Gave to my sister as a gift and she loved it. She needed help with storage of her family photos and this really helped. Very easy to use

Purchased at The Good Guys for $52.

Started off great but 3 months later froze up on me - wasted over $140 – This was a genuine Samsung product bought from Amazon and the card froze up on me some 3 months after purchase. I then reported my defective 512GB EVO MicroSd card to the Samsung Service Desk in Sydney and they sent me an RMA form with instructions for me to return the defective item to Samsung for inspection / replacement. After following this time-consuming process, the Samsung Service Desk Team Leader advised that Samsung did not have any 'replacement stock' of this 3 month old item(??) and that Samsung required evidence of my purchase from the SUPPLIER to Amazon in the form of a tax invoice to give me a refund.

Physical evidence of my credit card payment for the item to Amazon has been provided however this is not deemed sufficient for Samsung who insist on receiving the tax invoice from the Amazon supplier (anyone ever tried to get this information from suppliers to Amazon?)

No replacement has been issued by Samsung and yet one can freely purchase this same Samsung Microsd card from various outlets in Sydney... I also have the 8/16/64/128 and 256GB Samsung cards and have never had an issue but that will be the last Samsung card I buy.

Hi Kath, thanks for your response. The story is as described and I must say I was surprised at your Team Leader Rezkalla’s response after sending my Microsd to Samsung on RMA. I proved to Samsung that I had paid Amazon for the item, why did he need a tax invoice to replace the item for me. It was a special price Given by NCG to Amazon and I could not find it at the same price again. To come back to me stating Samsung had no replacement stock is just silly as one can buy the same 512GB micro sdcard around Sydney. To add insult to injury my defective sdcard had personal information stored on it that I could not remove and Rezkalla refused to give it back to me so I could destroy it. Regards, Michael

Zero response received back from Kath or Samsung 6 days after reading her 'private message' and providing her with required info (address and RMA details). What's the point of contacting me Kath if that is the last I hear from you or Samsung??? :(

To summarise in closure: a) Samsung refused to replace their defective 512GB MicroSDXC without a formal tax invoice which I was unable to retrieve from the Amazon supplier, despite multiple requests and proof of transaction. b) After looking around (why didn't I see it before?) I bought a LEXAR 512GB 633x MicroSDXC UHS-1 A2 V30 which was considerably cheaper than its Samsung alternative and has performed perfectly over the past 5 months (100MB/s transfer/70MB/s write)

I will definitely be buying Lexar products in future.
