I recently had a frustrating issue with my Samsung Smart Monitor M5 where the YouTube app was not working! After some troubleshooting, I found a solution that works perfectly and wanted to share it with the community. The problem is often caused by how the monitor handles IPv6 (the newer internet protocol). Some routers and apps on the Tizen OS can get 'confused' by it, causing connection errors.

The Fix: Log into your Router Admin Settings (usually 192.168.1.1). Go to the Advanced or Network settings. Look for IPv6 LAN settings and Disable it (switching your home network to IPv4 only). Save and Reboot your router. On your Samsung Monitor, perform a 'Cold Boot': While the screen is on, hold the Power button on your remote until the screen turns off and the Samsung Logo reappears. *** It's a good idea to turn off/unplug your home internet wifi modem for a min for the modem to refresh new settings.

Once I did this, the YouTube app loaded instantly and has been stable ever since. This change hasn't negatively affected my other devices (iPhone, Samsung phone, laptop, or iPad) at all—in fact, the connection feels even more reliable now.

If your YouTube app is acting up, give this a try! Pros: Great display, but requires a bit of networking knowledge for app stability.
