Samsung Odyssey Neo G95A LS49AG950NEXXY

I purchased the Samsung G91SD monitor brand new, expecting a premium product and service to match. Unfortunately, the unit arrived faulty out of the box (DOA). In the meantime, I paid a technician out of pocket to rule out any setup errors on my side. Despite clearly explaining the issue at the outset, Samsung insisted on sending a technician to assess it—this process alone took nearly two weeks to arrange. Then it took another week just to be told the unit could be repaired. Personally, I found this unacceptable for a brand-new product. A repair shouldn’t be the first solution for something that was never working properly.
It wasn’t until four weeks after the initial report that I was finally offered a refund or replacement.
To make matters worse, the customer service experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I was shouted at over the phone by one representative when I asked for clarity on the process. There has been no apology, no compensation, and no real accountability for the time, effort, and inconvenience I’ve endured.
While I still believe Samsung makes good products, this experience has really shaken my confidence in their customer support and after-sales service.
Purchased in at Samsung Online store for $1,600.
Super monitor , super expensive – Samsung Odyseey G9 Neo Info: Owned this monitor for about 1 week (Previous owner of the CHG49" older monitor of super ultra wide) Bought for 2499 on sale. The good: The monitor is the best of the best you can get. It's dual 1440p resolution monitor, it is HDR10 certified, it does 240hz (on display port with compatible gpu) has HDMI 2.0 inputs. Has 2000+ mini led zones. It's top the of the line in almost everyway. It has a beautiful 1800R Curvitare that makes it the most immersive gaming experience you can have. It has an absolutely excellent anti-reflective coating. It also comes with an excellent but big stand that allows tilt, rotation and height adjustement.
Super bright display panel that can reach up to 2000Nits in peak brightness. Has in built PIP mode so you can use multiple inputs on one screen instead of requiring two.
The Bad: This is mainly the price. for 2500 or 3000 when not on sale you can possibly buy 2 other excellent displays or one excellent display for less than half the price. There's been a heap of quality control issues with this monitor, with some units displaying horizontal scan lines as well so be aware. I've been lucky with my unit. Off axis viewing angles are not great but when you looking this monitor straight on it's no problem. While this display is absolutely one of the kings of HDR the super small objects are very dim. For example if your mouse pointer is on a completely black background it will be barely visible. There is still blooming with white objects close to all black objects as 2000+ zones is good but not better than OLED. Anothier note to make is not all games support this 32:9 aspect ratio. The back LED lights while cool are no where near bright enough to make a difference to light up a wall behind them.
Conclusion: This is a no compromise choice that will last you for many years and maybe even GPU generations to come as currently there is nothing that can run AAA game title at 240fps+ at maximum settings at this resolution. If you're looking for super-ultrawide monitor look no further as this is the best there is ... If you can afford it.
