Very bad remote – The Solar Remote control is so bad that Samsung has replaced twice. The remote seem to jump all over the place. The Bluetooth on the remote doesn't pair very well with TV.

Thrilled with this TV – At the time of purchasing our new TV (July 2022) Samsung had a promotion where you could purchase a TV and soundbar in one transaction and receive cashback of varying amounts depending on the models purchased. For us it meant by purchasing the TV for $3970 and the soundbar for $385, we’d be entitled to a $500 cashback (based on those models) so… Read more

we’d effectively get a free soundbar, and a cheaper TV.

Did we buy just because of the promotion? No, but there wasn’t sufficient reason to choose another brand instead, and so Samsung won out. We have a Samsung in another room that gets a lot of use and that’s been extremely reliable (purchased 2009), so this factored into our consideration. We considered and quite liked a Sony. And we’d had an LG that had caused us years of problems and so LG was not an option.

We could have spent less or more, but we chose one that was the ‘best’ quality we could buy for an arbitrary amount we set, hopeful we will get many years of use from it. This one was on a great sale and so was reduced significantly.

It’s been really great. I’m just an average viewer and couldn’t describe the technical specifications of the TV to save myself. I just want to have a nice TV to watch and it be easy to use and free of problems.

This one has a stand that supports the TV in the middle, so there are no legs at each end. It’s very slim and the frame is quite thin, so most of what you see is screen.

The colours are just magnificent. It’s very easy to use – no manual required. We have a Foxtel unit, Xbox and Apple TV all connected to it. There are various streaming apps available that we use and it’s very easy to access them. Once we started watching the TV it became apparent that perhaps the colours on the old LG weren’t up to scratch at the end. Some ads and programs are noticeably different and we now see them in much better colour.

The TV remote is solar and requires no battery – ever! It charges up from your room lights. You can place it by a window if you like and there is an option to charge it by USB-C cable into the TV or a wall charger adaptor. We haven’t really done anything with it other than leave it upside down exposing the solar panel to the room lights overhead.

We have the TV in a room with lots of light, to the left of the TV is a wall of glass facing north and it is no problem at all with glare.

It announces “network is disconnected’ when our internet goes down. (I hope for most people this is something they would rarely hear – for us though it is a frequent reminder of our spotty NBN which is yet to be sorted out. And it's not just the TV that has an issue with the network. It's everything in the house that uses the network. In fact the TV is responsible for pushing me to resolve the NBN issues because she keeps reminding me 'network is disconnected'.)

I have to say that 1 year in I am still completely thrilled with our purchase. I just can’t fault the TV.

The soundbar (HWS60BXY S60B 5 Channel All In one Soundbar) has also been wonderful. No subwoofer to take up space. Streamlined and tidy.

The Samsung cashback promotion was not smooth sailing, though this had more to do with the delay in receiving the soundbar (during covid with supply issues – so no big bombshell there) and the documents provided by the retailer were not so straight forward given they were purchased together but supplied separately. It did finalise in the end and we received our $500 cashback. This meant that it was $3855 for both.

I’m very pleased with the two items. If I could rewind time, I’d buy them both again.

2 months, fake promises and still no delivery – I brought the TV from GoodGuys on boxing day. I was told, there is a bit of a wait, so I will get the TV in 3-4 weeks. TV wasn't delivered in December, followed up, and was told it will be delivered in January. Followed up, and now the new date is Feb. First Samsung TV and what a disappointment. Samsung doesn't bother to update the reason and the final date of delivery. Just procrastinating it.

My cinema room experience – Best TV I have ever been able to afford. Bought it at a fantastic price and such perfect quality I matched it up with the 930 soundbar and I’m very happy with my cinema room experience. Show details ·  2

Samsung customer service is there any – I ordered a QN90B on the 27th of Nov direct from Samsung. I selected a delivery date for the 12 of December.I took the 12th of December of work only to be told that the tv hasnt shipped yet and there would be no stock allocation until the 19th. extra because i wanted this tv as a surprise for Christmas.

After contacted Samsung i was told it would ship on the 19th. I have a screen shot with Samsung stating this and it will hasnt shipped on the 20th. Im so angry i could have bought something from JB hifi but the deal was good and i figured Samsung are a reputable brand.

Dont believe Samsungs checkout process. They havent delivered when they said they would. No notification to say the delivery date wont happen nothing. I will never deal with Samsung directly again. If this wasnt something purchased for Xmas it probably wouldnt matter as much but the customer service people i spoke to put it back on me i selected the date you provided and now i dont trust it will even get here this year.

Samsung called to say it won't arrive now until mid January over a month after the original delivery date.

Terrible terrible service.

Microstutter / Auto-plays Baywatch after idle time – Several problems make this TV worse than a budget TV. 1. The TV has serious microstutter / frame drop issues. Even with interpolation disabled. You can see the frame rate speeding up/slowing down as it catches up. Seems it's been a problem with all samsung TVs for years, based on this 471-comment thread… Read more

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/samsung-2020-series-tv-motion-judder-stutter-frame-rate-firmware/td-p/2006495. The only way to stop the problem is to enable game mode. This completely resolves the issue; the TV perfectly displays 30 frames per second. But it means that the TV is only really usable with game mode on, which negates all of its nice features, and makes it on-par with a budget TV.

2. Any light in the room, perpendicular to the TV, causes huge streak reflections across the TV. It's ironic for a "bright room" TV. I've heard this is due to the xwide filter. Full window light in the room is ok, and the TV is bright, but it handles individual downlights really poorly. The panel is also not totally flat, so the streaks are all wobbly and look even more distracting.

3. Any time i leave my playstation idle for long enough that the playstation turns off, the TV switches to their crummy streaming service "Samsung TV Plus". It always plays Baywatch. I finally solved this when i figured out you can "disable" TV Plus. If you try to "remove" it, it just removes the icon and you can no longer disable it. I had to perform a hard reset.

4. The regular stutter caused by low-latency panel is also pretty bad. This is to be expected with all TVs, but it's exceptionally bad when you cant disable game mode, due to the microstutter mentioned above. Wish i got a Sony
