Good value for money but the stand could be a lot better – This is a bargain basement LED monitor (~$165AU) that should be quite good for everyday home use. Installation is a 5 min. job even on my 10+ year old PC. The auto setup function works well. My solid 10+ year old DELL 4:3 monitor built like a tank and weight as much cost ~$2000 in today's money requires more setup work than this unit. The… Read more

Samsung has no height adjustment but it can definitely tilt. I don't understand why people say it can't (the TILT adjustment is quite stiff, not like my DELL, so maybe thats the reason). The stand is very light (<0.5 KG) and should be much heavier and better designed. Even just a screw to anchor the stand to the display unit proper would be a nice change. Also, you can't mount the monitor on a wall or desk arm which will disqualify it for some people.

The picture quality is not bad (not as good as my 10+ year old DELL) but you get what you paid for. Will the build quality enables it to last for 10+ years, I doubt it, but I say this unit is good value for money for the general home user on a budget. If you are a professional gamer, photograher, architect etc. that demands the best, then this unit is not for you as you need to spend a lot more.

Good price, bad stand, good picture - but only if you get the settings right – While this monitor has impressive specs for its image quality, it skimps in every other way. The monitor stand does not allow you to change the angle. It is fixed at a completely impractical light downward tilt. And because it also has no mounting points you can also not use a standard VESA mount. The only solution is to put a book or piece of… Read more

wood under to front part of the foot to make it face your eyes instead of your keyboard.

Then I noticed that the picture quality was horrible. It looked like my PC had not set it to its native resolution and contrast was missing. Looking at a Google map you could hardly make out the streets from the background. The letters of a document seemed to have extra pixels on some strokes and missing some on others.

I finally found that I had to change the monitor settings "Samsung Magic Angle" and "Samsung Magic Upscale" from their defaults to something else.

After changing those settings the picture is very good.
