Before I bought this Samsung fridge, I had an LG fridge whose door broke in 25 months (just outside the 24-month warranty).

From these faults, I deduce one conclusion - buy products with long manufacturers' warranty because the products will break just outside the warranty periods. HN's Product Care Replacement Insurance excludes common component failures too.

I will buy a Made-in-China fridge next time.

I Had issues with this fridge within 2 years, lasted 4 years – I bought this fridge as it had multiple airflow through out, it is quiet, worked really good for over a year, then it started having issues. is easy to clean. It has a removal ice cube maker which is handy for summer. What we love most is that it is quiet. We have a small house and our bedroom leads into the kitchen so the fridge is outside our bedroom door. It hums slightly when starting up and then within a minute is whisper quiet. It keeps everything at an even temperature compared to our old F&P fridge which used to freeze things in the fridge and ruin the vegetables regularly. Would highly recommend this fridge/freezer.

Great Fridge, pity it is discontinued – Had this Fridge for about 2.5 years now and do not have one complaint. It has worked perfectly since purchase. It has great temperature control and has a manual ice maker inside. It has easy to remove shelves which are perfect for clean. ok – with LED light, it was good enough put in 2weeks or more food. Freeze can refresh the smell and air. Once time I dropped the juice or sauce, and that's easy clean and wipe. On bad thing is the ice block small like nothing. you should have your own one.  Show details

Never buy a Samsung Fridge – Samsung fridges overheat, Samsung Australia does not carry spares so repairs are difficult, expensive or impossible. bracket had melted (I have a photograph). He ordered parts for the repair. We were then told parts were unavailable and would have to be sent for and come from overseas.

3 weeks later, part arrived and were installed only to find that the overheating caused by the malfunction had damaged the compressor and a new compressor was required.

A week later, new compressor was installed only to find that the coils had been damaged and the fridge was after all, non repairable.

Samsung have been promising for a year now to reimburse some of the repair costs but to date this has not happened! Dozens of promises from Samsung but no action.

Never buy a Samsung fridge!

We have replaced the Samsung with an LG and are much happier!

freezer and is one of the better internal layouts that I have seen. I like the ice making equipment, though all manually operated, it is simple and easy to use, and not likely to need a plumber.

The doors are hard to open, you really have to either pull hard or just grab hold and lean back slightly using your body mass, instead of your arm muscles to open the door. Its hard to open because the seals are so darn perfect. This is not a fault, its great to have such efficient seals for a change.

It does make some rather strange noises at night, cracking, groaning and the occasional thump, but as the old fridge and freezer made the same noises, I suspect all is well. The central door shelf (Widest one) will take 4 x 2 Litre bottles of milk, or one 2 Litre juice and 3 milk, its a handy height so no more bending down to get the milk.

The internal lighting is very good and so nice to have a light in the freezer, something our old one did not have.

For the price, I find this Samsung fridge/freezer french door, very good value, it does the job it is supposed to do.

I have given it 4 stars instead of five because I think the quality of the plastics used in the bins and the actual liners could have been better. e.g high impact ABS would have been better.

dismounted rear panel and found a fan and all evaporator filled with ice. Likely defrost feature not operational. All drawers are snagging and clutching. It's has no value at I bought it at all. No more Samsung in my family.

Disappointed with this fridge – Owned fridge since 1/14. Computer panel replaced 12/15. Samsung responded but it took 3 days to repair with intermittent cooling/freezing so lost a lot of frozen food. well and being plastic have cracked on the runner track. When working, the fridge cools and freezes well but the fridge storage compartments are not robust.

Another great feature is the power freeze and power cool option, which allows you to chill off quickly when you load it up after shopping.

The ice bucket is good too, with a bucket under the cube makers, allowing you to store quite a bit of ice.

I prefer this method to the "plumbed in" method.

Always keeps to the temperature you dial in, something no previous fridge seems to have done.

Great fridge – This is Deffinately the best fridge I've owned. It looks great, not too deep so that it won't fit in the spot we have, keeps its temperature and plenty of freezer space. now and we've had no problems. The first few weeks for some reason overnight it made some popping noises which were a bit annoying but they have since stopped.

Great neat look for a kitchen – Really happy with this fridge. I like the flat front and integrated door handles,making a neat look along kitchen cupboards. This is why I bought it,more for the design of the doors than what the fridge offered. Having said that I am happy with all aspects of this fridge.

Happy, but – Happy with the cooling system but, every time we open the door there is a clicking sound. The 3rd drawer in the freezer section hasn't been delivered, as advertised, I had to contact Bing Lee Rydevor Samsung customer service again.

have a resolutions person ring me after I sent a request in writing threatening legal action. The only solution they offer is to take the fridge back and refund the cost and will not acknowledge that they are lying to their consumers and continue to sell and advertise this fridge as having 3 freezer drawers with absolutely no intention of honouring their product. The resolutions person was constantly arrogant and rude every time we asked for the drawer. We were offered no compensation whatsoever for the missing drawer.

Design – I honestly love the design of this side by side refrigerator. It is simple, stylius and elegant looking. I am looking forward to getting this one.... after my sharp RF had to be returned... i totally fell in love with the design....will suit my brand new kitchen....Good job ...Samsung with the design.  Show 2 replies
