Died shortly after warranty expired – I have used this M.2 SSD on my laptop. It had a 5 years warranty. It was working fine initially, a couple of years later I started noticing that there were some delays when searching the information, it could be noticed when I started some programs, they were initially starting with great delay, as if the SSD went to sleep and had difficulties waking up.

A couple of months after the warranty expired it just stopped working. It was the system drive, so the system just would not load. I tried it on the other laptop but the system did not see it on the other laptop as well.

As the warranty just expired I still tried contacted Samsung about it. I thought that maybe they would be able to help as the expectation for a device that has a 5 year warranty to be working a bit more than the warranty period. SSD has no moving parts so theoretically, it should have a very long life span.

Samsung said that because the warranty just expired they will not be helping me.

Overall, I am not happy as I think that a device should be working much longer than it's warranty period. Ecspecially such device as SSD. If I knew beforehand that Samsung SSD are unreliable I would not have bought it. Also, I was expecting a bit more from Samsung customer support.
