Good TV but now on our third remote in 3 years. Annoyingly the remote now only turns the TV on and off but doesn't do anything else. Would not recommend just because of this frustration Show details
Ive had my frame tv QA85LS03BAWXXY for about 3 yrs now ran perfectly for the first 3 yrs but now its only worth using it for a monitor now. It was responsive and never had any glitches except for the Q Symphony function which never worked. I reported that to samsung but never really fixed it, but now some how its working perfectly But my… Read more
main gripe now is its the sound has problem connecting to bluetooth headsets, poor quality sound and cracking drop outs. Sound will not go up or down when using remote needs power cord removed to restore Apps ate now slow to respond, plus it needs power unplugged to resolve other app issues. Ive done all trouble shooting steps software firmware updates . To no avail. I will be buying an apple tv to use instead and the tv will be a monitor only
Beautiful picture, crystal clear, love that part. Sound is ok, not great but not terrible either. But for some reason they've decided to remove being able to search for apps and have lumped everything in some weird 'genres' which aren't sorted in any kind of order, and you can't even search IN those 'genres'. You have to look through every single… Read more
icon and hope what you want is somewhere amongst the hundreds of icons in the genre you are searching. According to Samsung, there are only 4 types of genres as well, if the apps aren't shown in the headings they have pre-populated such as 'recommended' or 'editor's choice', good luck finding what you want. You can't sort within each genre alphabetically, they are just in some random order that has no sense. I'm glad I got the main apps I use before they removed the app search option! The apps I'm looking for are major ones too, not obscure type apps. New buyers, you are about to get utterly frustrated with trying to get the apps you want anytime quick - be ready to click that scroll button and sit in for aaaaaggggeeeesss!!!! Prob won't be buying another Samsung tv in the future at this stage simply for this reason...
TV itself is awesome, absolute pain in the behind to mount to the wall but the picture is fantastic and love that it sits flush to the wall. Decided to purchase another one for our other living room. This time we decided to have the cable running internally in the wall for child safety reasons (kids pulling on cables) Unfortunately the power cord… Read more
got stuck on insulation and even though we tugged on the cord gently, the one connect cord snapped. It’s a pain but oh well, we will just have to replace. This is where it becomes a problem. These cords are not stocked at retailers, but you know who else also doesn’t stock them - Samsung. Where do you buy a replacement - they can’t even tell you. Now I have a brand new expensive TV that doesn’t work. Yay. Hopefully eBay will come to the rescue but sure a sh** - this is the last Samsung product I’ll EVER purchase or recommend. Imagine not being able to buy spare parts (and something as simple as a power cable) for a new TV.

Great TV but wall installation can be challenging if you have plasterboard walls – I am very pleased with the picture and sound from this TV. The main menu interface is a little bit clunky compared to the TCL tv I used previously. This TV is significantly heavier that the 55cm it replaced. Future owners should take care mounting it on a plasterboard wall following the instructions to ensure the mounting bolts are bedded in the… Read more
wall studs. A stud finder is recommended. I really like the One Connect box and the single wire to the TV. It makes connections to other devices very convenient. I purchased the teak frame which neatly matched our other timber furniture. The artwork function works fine but requires a subscription which is mentioned in the fine print on the Samsung page.
Poorly designed antenna socket – The antenna socket protrudes outside of the rear of the TV box casing, as such that it has become loose. Given the antenna cable is rigid, any movement of the TV box causes strain on the socket. There is no support from the casing to hold it rigid. All the other sockets are set back in the casing I have moved the TV box only a couple of times to… Read more
dust inside the cabinet and have now had to use an 90 degree elbow antenna cable connector so the cable runs along the back of the casing and use cable ties to hold it rigid.
I made a warranty claim with Samsung who said I caused the damage to the socket. That might be so, but if it was designed better to support a rigid antenna cable, there would not have been a problem. Samsung declined my claim.
Should it break off, the cost of repair by a Samsung authorised repairer would be more than $150, in order to maintain warranty.
