Samsung UE590 28" 4K UHD Monitor

The best monitor for your laptop – On Monday 28th October 2019 I purchased a Samsung U28E590D 28” 4K UHD Monitor for $90 with postage of $10 from The Good Guys in Bayswater so I can watch 4K Movies with my MacBook Pro.

Hopeless service – Most unhelpful customer service. I bought an expensive monitor in October 2020 and now it’s playing up. The store closest to me for repair is 1hour drive and its lockdown in sydney. I need a monitor for work and expected to get a replacement without any harassment. Great monitor that works well with gaming console – Previously tried a $800 32 inch Msi monitor with my xbox one x and the picture was blurry and unplayable for FPS when moving around in a game even after trying every different setting , also tried a cheaper Dell monitor and same result. This monitor from Samsung was about middle of the range price wise and perfect for console at 60 hz because most console games don't run at 144hz. Picture quality is great, very happy with this purchase. Has a game mode which I have turned on because I only use it for gaming. Highly recommend this product.

Good bargain, ok display – The price is great for a 4K 28inch monitor. The body and finishing is quite great in term of balance and stability. I have used it for a few months. Cons: the colour representaiton can be really different, when you print out the colour difference is even more noticeable. Because it has high resolution, some apps are not optimised and the icons can be very small. The brightness level cannot be dimmed (but most monitors are like this, unlike monitors on laptops).

Pros: big monitor cheap Overall it is a good buy as long as you are not particular about the colour quality.
