Dont Buy Samsung Washing Machines – Bought Samsung Q Drive washing machine in August,2020. There was not much reviews available at that time as it was fairly new model. I had LG before that front loader for 10yrs, had few issues aftr 8yrs but got easily repaired. So decided to try Samsung this time but highly disappointed. Its been playing up since i got it. In the past yr, it has… Read more
torn 5 of my clothing in random cycles. After couple of months of this happening i did report it to Samsung online chat, but dint follow up much and neither did Samsung, so even i let it go thinking it may not happen again but it did it again n again. I had to report it before it gets worse or there may be serious consequences. Finally after an year, i did finally organised a technician through samsung to assess the issue. He told me “ there may be some the clothes are getting stuck in the door when i am closing it” and i replied this is not the first time i am using a front loader, always have. I am aware not to over load and i make sure the clothes are not “stuck” on the door. Then he said “may be clothes are getting stuck in the cavity around the door and due to friction its tearing the clothes”. How is that my fault ??? What if the friction due to cloth stuck in the cavity cause spark n fire?? Samsung have to take responsibility. Samsung has poor support, their customer service staff at the head office are even worse and quiet rude. It is not a cheap machine, i have paid $1495 plus the 5year extended warranty and still they wont do anything about it. Everbody has busy life and so much going in life. Who has got time to chase things everyday like this. Why cant things be simple??? I am lodging a complain through “consumer affair” too. It says if the product is not upto a specific quality and does not solve my purpose, i can lodge a complaint against the manufacturer. Hope this helps you decide.
Broke 3 times within 8 months and still not fixed. Samsung refused to help – I normally don't write reviews but I feel this needs to be heard has its a big company vs the little guy and I feel powerless. The door hinge has broken down 3 times after being serviced 3 times and it continues to leak water all over the floor. I have tried so many times to to remedy this with Samsung but they refuse to accept responsibility. I… Read more
just feel they are trying to pick on the little guy. They have my money and now they couldn't care less to fix the issue. They even said the technicians say there is no fault. It doesn't take an expert to know that a leaking washing machine is faulty.
Aside from that, the machine is really noisy. It is not acceptable for such an expensive product to fail 3 times within 8 months
Never buy from them! This has caused me so much stress and hassle not to mention inconvenience.
All the Bells and Whistles but leaks – Wanted a washer dryer to save space in our small laundry and purchased this machine as it had some good features (bubblewash, steam, quickwash, add door). Easy to use and washes well in a reasonable time. Drying cycle takes too long though and is too impractical for busy household (about 4 hrs for wardrobe dry). But… Our machine leaks. After… Read more
about 3 months it developed a leak through the front door. Samsung “retail service” response was largely dismissive, simply blaming us for customer damage (to the seal). When asked on 2 occasions how we damaged the seal and how they could tell from a few photos the so called ‘service’ department simply ignored my question. Just ignored. The question was genuine, it’s my first front loader, and having operated the machine in accordance with the instructions I feel we have done nothing wrong.
Reading on online forums, I can only assume that the possible cause Samsung is referring to is having an item of clothing stuck between the door and the seal (seriously, how hard would it be for Samsung to say this…why ignore the question and force me to search myself). If this is the case then the design of the machine is faulty – having such a dark door its impractical to see if something is stuck. Either way , I don’t think we did anything wrong and no one can recall having clothing in the door area.
Samsung's only response was to do an onsite assessment, which over the phone they alluded would be at my cost. By email I said I would welcome Samsung do an on-site assessment at their cost. Once again this was just ignored. Not even a response to say no, your cost. Just nothing. I am not willing to have Samsung attend my house at my cost as I don’t think they will give a fair assessment and will only continue with the ‘your fault’ line and try to force me to pay for an expensive repair on an already expensive machine. Anyway the machine is about 5 months old now, still leaks and I have noticed the seal is deteriorating in other places.
I will not be entertaining another Samsung appliance purely on their ‘retail service’ and would recommend others to try other brands before Samsung. If you lucky enough to get a product without problems then good for you, but if you have issues you’ll be in a world of pain with Samsung.

Good washer and dryer – Some people saying it vibrates like crazy... Read the instructions that say to unscrew the four rubber ‘things’ on the back of the machine and you won’t have a problem. I didn’t do this and even though I’d leveled the feet off - it tried walking out the door lol. Now those four things are unscrewed, it’s great and can handle the spinning at… Read more
1400RPM.
Washer works well and fast with multiple options.
Dryer works fine, albeit slow but does work so can’t complain. 3 hours for a wash & dry isn’t too shabby for an all-in-one.
No lint filter so ‘stuff’ gets built up around the door.
Read the instruction manual!!!
The worst washer / dryer in history – Purchased this after being sucked in by the sales persons, spent a lazy $1600 plus for what is essentially the worst washer I’ve ever had. Constantly fails, doesn’t drain, needs to be reset and this is once weekly. Never purchased a Samsung product previously and suffice to say, I will never again. Not only is this machine worthless, the… Read more
customer service is on par with the worst I have ever dealt with. Perhaps Samsung can google oxymoron because that’s what their customer service is. Please don’t waste your hard earned cash on this, trust me you’ll thank me

Pls dont buy this Lemon – Bought this 3 weeks ago and on 2nd wash it start vibrating like a biggest earthquake on Earth.3 technician visits over 2 weeks and still not solved. Faulty Product, But even worse customer service – We ordered this washer dryer machine and within the first test run, It immediately started to flood our timber floors. We were in contacted Samsung who sent a technician and within 5 minutes, found 3 faults. 1. The rubber seal was missing from the front door 2. A pipe inside the machine was broken 3. The machine had 2 serial numbers - giving us… Read more
impression that this machine we were given had parts from 2 machines, possibly parts from a faulty machine. The technician told us that it would eligible for refund, as it had only been used once for a test run with no clothes inside. Samsung refuses to acknowledge that the 3 points mentioned above as a 'major fault', therefore refusing to replace the machine and only offers to repair with no other solution (won't even allow for a refund). Our concern is that the technician could fix the issues, but I would not trust it to be functional/ reliable for future use.

This machine is terrible – First time we’ve had a washer dryer combo, this was sold as having all the bells and whistles and yes it has lots of features. We have now had to emergency drain the machine once a month because it fails to drain properly and now it fails to drain completely and can’t get it to work. Less than 12 months old and it has been nothing but a massive… Read more
pain I in the butt.
Do not buy this washer. Don’t read other reviews and think that there’s a lot of good ones so maybe it’s ok. That's exactly what I did, now I completely regret the decision.

AMAZING! Washer AND Dryer both fantastic! – I was worried when I had read some reviews about the dryer function. Then I saw some reviews that said that clearly people hadn’t read the manual or downloaded the app and used the app to control it. Also once the dryer is finished when you grab the clothes out they feel slightly steamy however after 1 minute out in normal air you realise they are… Read more · 1
definitely dry and perfectly dry too. Happy to say the washer and dryer works amazing and I love controlling it from my phone. I have 2 adults and 2 kids in my house and it does the loads easily. I’ve also never had clothes spun so quickly. Oh and after 14 years of fisher and paykel I can’t believe how quiet the machine is! You can barely tell it’s on. Very impressed and relieved. Just remember to download the “SmartThings” app.
Almost perfect and love it! – After some extended usage and getting used to, it's now worthy of a 5 star despite some minor cons. Summary: Wash - 5 star Dry - 4.5 star Wash Summary: Perfect, you can't get a better front load washer in my opinion. Plenty of modes for quick, medium and long deep cleaning. Dryer Summary note: Although 4.5 star, it does work and can dry… Read more · 1
fully if you choose the right options. I think it's a great dryer considering its a dual washer/dryer and may be the best one available in the market of this type.
Detailed: Pros: > A lot of features! But also simple modes for daily usage. > 1 hour wash and dry for <1KG loads. Great for quick refreshing. > 3 hour wash and dry for up to 4kg loads. My daily option > 6+ hour wash and dry for largest loads. Just throw clothes in and go to sleep! > Quiet, once your correctly balance and position the unit you can't hear vibrations or knocking. Full spin cycle sound is pleasant. No irritating overspeeding sounds. > The app is great, nice to see status and time remaining. Works when outside of house > Clothes are dried automatically right after wash, no more double handling (transferring from washer to dryer) > no lint filter, less cleaning to do after drying! (also has a con) > Still to test other features but look promising
Cons: > No Lint filter means a 3 monthly maintenance cleanup requiring draining of pipe at the bottom front of the unit. > No dryer auto damp detect feature included with the unit. Only a weight sensor to estimate drying time and that's only on certain modes. > Drying is slower than a normal dryer but does dry fully if given the time and correct option selected. > No google/alexia integration yet.
Cons Details: There is no lint filter. it seems most of it gets picked up and flushed down the pipe which isn't bad. But there is still about 10% of remaining lint scattered to the front of the machine. A little hard to clean as it gets stuck all around and in the rubber seals. Still looking for a good way to clean this, takes extra time and messes up the cleaning cloth I use. Samsung manual also recommends frequent cleaning of this to maintain life of dryer.
No damp sensor included with the unit. But it does have a weight sensor used to estimate the time it thinks it will need to dry the clothes. But this only available with certain wash options. Machine doesn't know when clothes are actually dry, so it might run longer or shorter than it needs to. As long as you select the right options, it will dry it perfectly. Don't understand why a damp sensor can't be used in a combo washer/dryer. Shame, would have saved time and cost if a sensor was put in place.
At full capacity it takes up to 6 to 8 hours to dry. That is very long compared to dryer only models. But it's a sacrifice you got to make when you want a combo like this.
Also to test: what happens if you overload the dryer and set max drying time. Will it still dry it?
Fantastic Washer and Good Dryer – A great washer/dryer with a number of added features. Have washed all sorts of things in this and they always come out great. It runs quiet yet spins the clothes very well. The dryer function also works well, as long as you don't over fill it. It's connected to a smart app which you can have you notify you or even start the machine - a nifty… Read more · 1
feature. The other very nifty feature is the add clothes chute, which I've found myself using quite often. It does get very hot during the drying phase (which is a good thing) so you wouldn't want to keep anything delicate resting on top. Overall, very happy!
Combination Appliance that Cleans Well and Saves Space – This is a combination washing machine/clothes dryer that we purchased to replace two separate appliances. After considering how often we really needed to use a dryer, we realised that a combination was viable. Almost a year later, it was a good move. Previous experiences is with a top loading washing machine and a tumble dryer. Pros: - Quieter… Read more · 1
- Cleans better - Simpler to use - You can set a wash to be followed by a dry cycle - no need to intervene - Uses less water and power
Cons: - Slower wash than a top loader - You can't use a washing machine and dryer at the same time (obviously) - The power button is extremely sensitive so you can accidentally turn it on or off
I would buy it again.

The WORST appliance I have ever purchased – I purchased this machine a few months ago. I have since used it dozens of times, with a terrible result from every washing and drying option on the machine. A list of the main issues I have encountered: - holes ripped in clothes and bedding. - burns on bedding. - heavy pilling on clothing, including new clothing washed in stocking bags. -… Read more
faded and discoloured clothing. Many white items turning grey after being washed, despite separating light and dark clothes into different washes - all clothes that have gone through the machine are dried out and crispy, with no chance of recovery. - the machine leaks onto the floor. - the machine moves around the floor when used. The travel bolts have been removed.
I read the entire manual and followed it to the letter. I tried multiple washing powders, liquids and softeners to fix the issue (as suggested by Samsung) with no change.
This machine has ruined thousands of dollars worth of clothing, bedding and towels. Samsung sent a technician who couldn't find anything technically wrong with the machine after running diagnostic tests, despite him agreeing with the physical evidence of ruined clothing and bedding. The Samsung head office then rang and said that was the end of the matter, so I'm left with a $2000 pile of junk taking up space on my deck until I can take it to the tip. I wouldn't sell this lemon on to anyone else.
I spent $2000 on this machine and would have been better off buying a second hand washing machine and dryer off Gumtree for a combined total of a hundred bucks.

Interesting – Washes well, drying well could be better. The q app thing doesn't work but i can do it all from the smart things app. Working shifts i like being able to set a load and it'll be washed and dried when i get home..however sometimes it doesn't dry enough, down side of condenser driers. But that said my power usage this last quarter has dropped over… Read more
$500 that's still running central and doing the same amount of washing only change has been we said good by to the old electrolux dryer. Also plus side kids can load it for me and text me so i can pick what settings i want from work. Downside other some loads don't fully dry is it should have a auto detergent dispenser like the washer only machines have and it took a few goes of trying different things to stop it sounding like it had concrete pieces spinning on spin cycle as it is a old laundry with sloped floors and super slippery tiles so although leveled by an installer it kept creeping. Removing some tiles where the legs are solved it and its quiet as anything again. But drove us insane for weeks. Hopefully it'll keep being smoothish sailing. Oh and i get notifications on all our tvs ( we're Samsung people) when the loads finished as well on our phones. Better than the stupid music it plays which we turned off lol
Nightmare Do Not Buy – This machine has been nothing less than a hassle since I brought it. If you want to use anything except the default modes the control panel is slow and unresponsive. not included. Ended up getting the Samsung SmartThings app so I could easily change the setting easily which works. The machine is over complicated and while I am still learning to use the machine the dryer function is also questionable although I have only tried it twice. Once it wanted to take 5 1/2 hours to dryer sheets that were only slightly damp so used the 30 minute dry function and it did not dry them.
Now 3rd wash in and the machine no longer works. I had a load in paused it then added 1 item using the "AddDoor" function and then machine keeps bringing up the door error and will no longer wash cloths. I did the reset as per the instructions and now when I try start any wash cycle all it does is runs the pump to empty the machine then sits there and does nothing. Press start again then it just repeats the same process. I would not recommend buying this machine. I am going to ask for my money back and if that doesn't work, I will just throw it away and buy something else and never buy Samsung again.
Ok the Good Guys came through and gave me a brand new machine because of the problems I had. … Read more (+1 reply)
