Samsung QuickDrive WD85N74FNOR Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: WD85N74FNORWe purchased the Samsung washer dryer had it a few days but it seems to vibrate a bit on spin drive we have been using the 1200 spin regards Mark
I haven't really noticed any vibrations during the spin cycle. Maybe check the adjustable feet to ensure that it is stable on the floor?

Mine was loud initially, but after tweaking it a bit, giving it a little nudge in the right direction while it was spinning, I managed to find the sweet spot and its runs beautifully. Even though the tiles in my laundry are solid and flat, it still needed that bit of adjusting.
Once you find that spot, it will never give you a problem again.
Just careful not to accidentally push the power button while moving it. Its very sensitive and stops the whole washing process.
Thanks I just got a secondhand reconditioned exact one of these and I look forward to finding whether we got the lemon of a good one. It'll be delivered in a couple of hours. Since buying the new wd85n74fnor Samsung I found our reasons, for quitting our washer and drier, were just a bit more than the fact that when I took the plug out of the double adapter it was stuck and, after taking the double adapter out of the wall the plug was stuck to the double adapter it is blackandcrisp and blowing the earthleakage thing. That black... plastic melt in the doubleadapter has been switching off the earth leakage breakers intermittently and I've been blaming the washer and dryer. The drier was making grinding noises and the washer stopped randomly and the power-supply battery-backups squealed lots of times when we worked the washer and drier so today we said they are both ....... and so we got a Samsung wd85n74fnor reconditioned (to be delivered) and found, on getting home, that potentially this thing is also a can of worms but somehow we'll trust cause we got a secondhaqnd one which has been reconditionsed. I read reviews from .... to good and think the manual is so much the usual multipage of legal .... that the essentials like setting the things up properly are not done and they either work or don't. I also think Samsung should read the .... reviews and mend their game. If I find a fault in this new thing we're getting in the next hour or so, and it's something inherent in the faulty design/manufacturing, I'll get into them in a way to get results beneficial for people who buy stuff that's predatory/whatever...we don't know how they have problems like everybody else but we can appeal to the human thing about mutually needing to live on a plant which we have almost killed just because it is merciful and withholding her own abilities to keep all life alive and ok and we are a threat and I'm ... out of my .... whatever that is. I have to stop writing we have visitors. thanks for your words and all the other people who write reviews. I'm outofit and more, happily --- we use herbs and stuff which has no bad effects however we might not make sense when we write on the Internet. Cheers David
Looking to purchase this as my new laundry doesn't have space for a dryer. Anyone know what happens to all the Lint? I don't see a lint filter in the manual. I noticed some people said that the dryer doesn't completely dry the clothes, can you let it continue running longer so it does or is that the limit of the machine?
Not sure what happens to the lint but there is a cleaning function. The trick with washer dryers is not to over fill them. It can do 8.5kg wash fine. But you’ll have to split the load if you want to dry all that. I’ve found the drying to be fine as long as I split large loads up. Eg: bed sheets would be top sheet and then bottom sheet. You can just run it again if you want but it won’t be as fast as a conventional dryer. Good for emergencies or that once a week dry you need.
Thanks for your reply. I've now had it for a little over 24hrs now and agree with your response based on my testing with 4 loads now. Love the washer, it's perfect. I am disappointed with the dryer sensor though. It should be a little more automated. It doesn't really detect the dampness level of the clothes. My super old cheapo dryer only has 1 button and no timer. Just put in any load weight, it detects as it dries and turns off when it needs to at the perfect moment. Ran for 10 years without a hitch till I had to move and it doesn't fit in the new laundry.
As expected, no lint filter and it appears to form up around the rubber area of the washing machine. Looks like most of it gets sucked up and out through the water outlet.. about 10% remains. I have to clean it manually which is a pain. But I haven't tried just leaving the lint and let the next wash clean it out.. that might work? If it does it would make it a maintenance free solution! I'll test it on the next load.
Hi, you can locate the lint filter via the steps in the link below.

There is no lint filter in this model. There is however a filter behind a panel at the bottom right on the front of the machine that you need to clean every few months. It is a little inconvenient to clean as you need to drain the excess water first and the inbuilt hose is not really long enough. A lot easier the second time once you know what to do.
Overall, I'm happy with the machine!
Hi Ada, yes that link is not for this model However as juergen said, there is no lint filter I've now used this machine for 2 weeks now almost 3 times a day with drying and its been running great! Very rarely I need to clean lint around the front of the machine near the rubber area. It looks like most of the lint is flushed away which is great.
Great machine, the best combo i've seen yet
