Life span too short – I used mine daily and was happy with it until it “died” after only 20 months. Screen is blank and simply stopped working. Changed batteries and checked contact points, still wouldn’t work. I would have thought I’d get at least 3 years life. Won’t by Sanitas again for that reason. Show details

Reliable – This monitor is reliable. I have found other monitors that i take to my doctors that read higher or lower than my doctors. It fits well and is comfortable. The screen size is good and easy to read. It has a storage memory for up to 30 readings. I can recomend this monitor.

Very Handy – Having been recently diagnosed with high blood pressure, I bought myself the Sanitas SBM21 blood pressure monitor. I've been using it daily for a couple of weeks and find it easy to use and with it's built in memory, it saves up to 30 readings in each of 4 different memory slots. When going to see my GP I take with me the previous day's… Read more

monitoring and one from that day which has been really handy as my blood pressure seems to rise significantly when I go to the surgery.

There is also a feature that will place an icon on the screen if there's a heart arrhythmia which I found only last night when I did my husband's blood pressure. He wasn't feeling well and when the icon came up, I listened to his heart and it was racing so a trip to the local hospital was our next port of call for immediate treatment.

The screen has good sized numbers and a 6 place WHO bar graph at the side to show where your blood pressure is placed - from Optimal to Grade 3: severe hypertension.

Cuff size fits from 22cm to 36 cm and it's powered by 4 x 1.5 volt AA batteries enough for approximately 250 measurements (so the booklet says). Ease of use
