Please can you tell me how can I take the audio out? Not video, just audio as I can not find it anywhere. Thanks

Amayzingone

Usually red and white stereo RCA connections next to the video outlet or maybe an orange RCA (coaxial) outlet. Check the manual.

Corey S.

There is a 3.5mm audio out jack on the left side. The TV lets you choose whether to mute it's internal speakers or not while using it. I've had mine for 8 years now and use it for output to a good set of speakers to get nice bass.

Can we hook up the new Foxtel box which now has Netflix.

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

Yes. Use the HDMI cable and connect to any HDMI port. Too easy. Same for any media device and ALL TVs!

No LCD TV ever required a set top box.

Screen saver what does it mean?

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

Just as it says. Saves screen from screen burn. Amazed you dont know. Screen savers have existed on TVs, computers, mobile phones for 30 years. They are automatic ON and OFF so dont worry about it.

No. But you can make it smart by connecting Chromecast or Amazon Fire Stick.

How do I get off the screensaver , my screen is black and a screen saver icon keeps floating around

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

If the screen saver is showing it means you have no signal. So you are either on an INPUT source which is not connected or maybe switched off OR if you are on the DTV input, then you may not have your antenna connected or havent tuned your TV to receive the local TV channels. So FIRSTLY hit the INPUT button (top right) and check to which input it is set and work from there.

Does this have High Definition Range?

Sara
Sara

It says on my PS4 your TV doesn't support HDR.

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

All LCD TVs are High definition meaning they support video output at least 720P (1366 x 768). More so all 40" LCD TVs are 1080P Full High definition (1920 x 1080). But the video output you get really depends on the input source and where you plug in your external device. The HDMI ports on TVs are all Full 1080P HD. The red/blue/green (RGB) coloured component video port is up to 1080P (analogue) HD but support really depends on the input device. . The yellow composite video port is only Standard definition 480p/576i analogue. So really depends what type of video connection cable you are using.

Screen black. No image. Still get sound amd start logo. Only 3 years old. Worth repairing?

Get a quote,. My local repairer gives FREE quotes. Find a similar TV repair man that gives free quotes. Then you can decide for yourself. Probably anything up to $180 is worth spending. Otherwise you can get a new Kogan 40" LED TV with much better picture for $329 + delivery (approx $40 depending where you live)

I got pink and green fuzzy colouring on my tv all of a sudden recently, absolutely gutted cause we have had a great run with it! Awesome tv for the price otherwise. Any ideas on if it's fixable? We brought it from BigW in 2012

Have you tried unplugging it for a couple of days? Otherwise take it to your local TV repair man. One that will give you a FREE quote.

I have a sanyo LCD-40xr11f model tv trying to reset back to factory setting with out remote control. How to reset without remote? can any one help? Geoff

lilybuffyau
lilybuffyau

Hi,

Have you called their service centre or used a universal remote as to reset you have to go to the lock menu and put in your password (or you can use their main password in the manual) then go to factory restore default and ok.

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

1. Navigate to LOCK menu 2. Input password. default is 0000 3. Press UP or DOWN to navigate to RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULT. 4. Press OK 5. Confirm Obviously you need a remote for this but might work using the buttons on the TV.

As lilybuffyau suggested, try using a Universal Remote but don't like your chances.

When I am using the TV on HDMI it is on screen saver mode. how can I turn this off please? It is working fine on DTV mode

Amayzingone
Amayzingone

Probably means nothing is connected to your TV's HDMI port. Or if a device is connected, the device is not turned on. The screen saver disappears once a connected device is detected. If you are having problems trying connecting a different device to see if that works.

If it does work then you have a problem with the HDMI port on the device in question.

Alternatively try using the AV connection (red/white/yellow) but this will only deliver a standard definition picture.

StuckInScreensaver

I'm not Australian, but one doesn't have to be to have stumbled upon the same problem with a Sanyo television being in the Google screensaver mode. If I may, I would like to encourage only those who recognize the circumstances to which we are referring and know the solution to answer this question. It is kind of others to try to help, but if someone doesn't immediately recognize what we are talking about when we say our Sanyo televisions are in screensaver mode and we can't get back to our broadcast source, then he or she probably isn't going to be able to assist because basic troubleshooting isn't applicable here.

I know these things because this has happened to me before and has happened again now. The first time this occurred was when I chose an option I shouldn't have in an effort to improve the size of my picture and ended up with the Google screensaver. Unfortunately, I don't remember what I did to go from the screensaver back to my cable source.

I do remember the solution was as simple as clicking on "Menu" on the remote and choosing the right option in either the Channel or the Setup mode.

Please, if you are already familiar with that to which we are referring and know the solution, then any assistance would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Where can I download the manual for free? Everywhere costs money, & the Sanyo site doesn't come up. Thanks!

You are correct, I have a hard copy of it. Happy and scan into a PDF and email you or arrange a photocopy and mail to you for a modest fee paid via PayPal.

I can't find a link to Sanyo Australia but I did find a link to sanyo-av.com which is their customer service area, you could email them with the model details and see if they will send you a manual it appears to be free of charge.
