Just cannot get hot enough! I've owned Scanpan before for use with both gas and electric and they've been pretty good (had to replace one unit years ago). I switched to LeCrueset when we moved to induction and they've been fantastic - but they don't do a wok. So I went with Scanpan again. For a wok especially, it needs to get really hot. No matter… Read more

what I do, I cannot get the thing hot enough. Whether its base is too thick or small, but nowhere near gets hot enough.

Scan Pan Induction 32cm Pan De-laminated – 8 years ago we bought a 32cm induction pan and had a pretty good run with it. It is still OK apart from the non stick surface which is no longer non stick. Almost 18 months ago we bought a new one which reputedly had a better non-stick surface. Then the bottom de-laminated. Scan pan say it is because of overheating on the induction cooktop. I see… Read more

that seems to be their standard response although the other pan has not done so in all the time we have had it where it has cooked on the same top, under all the same conditions.

We will never buy or recommend another Scanpan anything because of this!

So dissapointed – Purchased the 32 & 28cm frypans for induction use. Followed the instructions to the letter and attempted to fry two eggs without fat or oil. Well the pan is definitely NOT non-stick! Show details

Worst non-stick pans ever! – I bought these pants because they were supposed to be the bees knees when it came to non-stick cooking. Nothing could be further from the truth. Used in accordance with instructions from day one, food sticks during cooking and is hard to remove in the cleaning process. The bottom of the pans scratched my glass cooktop. All in all a waste of… Read more

money and I wouldn't buy Scanpan again. There are so many exclusions in the warranty it isn't worth the paper it's written on because there is no way one could prove one used and cleaned the pans in accordance with the instructions. Very disappointed!

SCAM PAN more like it – I have owned 4 induction non-stick can pans - two went to god after about 2 years, their replacements have lasted the same. I was told you have to clean them very thoroughly after every use to remove micro food deposits even if they look clean and I have done this religiously - I have even stored them all in their original boxes after each use. … Read more

I and very diligent and a bit OCD so know I have treated these products how they should be. My second set is going into the bin today. I will replace them from something I can get from the myer half price sale - it won't be scan pan again. At the start, and for perhaps the first year they did cook pretty well and the non stick worked but slowly the non stick deteriorated and now they are what you might call "stick" pans. After having 4 different pans all do the same thing I realise I have been duped by clever advertising and a high price. In all I have invested nearly $1000 in these pans, so very disappointing. I have also noted that the Scanlan company does not respond to any of the product review posts so that says to me they don't give a toss, we were suckered in by fancy advertising and they got their sale. Don't be pulled in by the lovely looking box the pan comes in with the gold foil trim - the product inside is rubbish, just go buy something adequate and throw it out in a year. Off to do that now.

July 10th 2017 Update: Hope - less

They work really well when they are new..maybe for 6 months tops..then it's all downhill no matter how hard you clean them or what you do. They are not worth the money. I have had 4 and all have become "stick" on pans after a few years.

Disappointed – This is the first Scanpan non-stick I have purchased. The sales assistant assured me they were worth the price because they were absolutely the best. I was disappointed from the start. The food sticks and the "non stick" surface is stained and impossible to get clean. I would not recommend scanpan products to anyone and I will not purchase a Scanpan product again.  Show details

What a joke. Don't waste your money – This is the most expensive pan I have bought and it is the worst by far. Everything sticks to it from day 1. I have been in contact with scanpan but still waiting for a reply. Just wish I read these reviews before purchasing it. Never again.......  Show details

blackened and heat damage after 1st use – I bought the full stainless steel induction scanpan set, since i have just had the new smeg induction cooktop installed. I thought to start simple and do steak and egg. Both pans are totally destroyed after the one brief cook yesterday. I have taken them back to the retailer here in Cherrybrook who have called scanpan. I will report back here… Read more

after their response. However be very cautious. ... i have never seen anything so bad even on the cheapest of pans after many years. These were a premium price and af5yer just one use look worse than a tin can used to boil water directly on coals, every night for an entire year. Shocking.
