Shortlived non-stick qualities – The first 12 months after buying a discounted $200 non-stick frypan from Scan Pan all went well. Then material started to stick and got from bad to worse. Contacting customer service, without even asking for a replacement, the operator said straightaway that they were not going to replace the fry pan as non-stick properties were not part of any… Read more
warranty. Strange: this is what you advertised when I bought them - "non-stick". Customer service operator very defensive despite I was calling for enquiries instead of money back.
I was told I need to thoroughly clean the pans several times a week with bi-carb ( on top of the normal doing the dishes) to remain the non-stick properties. Something I never did and never have done before. Second: I need to warm the pan for 5 minutes at medium setting before use, which is what I never have done before in my life.
Too much hassle for me, instead I have bought an 18dollar fry-pan from Woollies, treated this Woollies frypan the same way as Scan Pan's and the Woollies lasted 4years before it lost is non-stick properties. Big difference though... Scan Pan fry pan was $200 ( discounted price) where Woollies' frypan was $18.
Shame, product looked promising but didn't meet expectation, as such I wouldn't recommend this product.
Worst ever, flaking after less than 2 years – These pans are terrible. Not worth the extra money at all. Bought when about 18 months ago and there are bits flaking off the bottom edge already, in multiple spots. What a waste of money and time and effort. The fact that they have no customer service replies on here is so telling as well. Show details
Pricey and poor customer service – I bought a pricey Scanpan and found the food sticking to the pan. I tried to return it after speaking to someone on the phone-Scanpan kept it for 8 weeks and returned with no note/refused to fix or even clean. Appalling customer service. Would not recommend. Great pans, terrible company – Spent over £200 on 1 pan which is a lot of money for me, but it was an anniversary present that should have lasted a very long time. Came with a ' lifetime guarantee ' which after 10 years the handle fell off. I was told by scan pan that the ' lifetime guarantee ' was actually a 10 year guarantee and they would not replace my pan. The pan ( apart from the handle ) is excellent. The company are liars. Show details
Do not Buy this pan! – I got my pan for Christmas and am really disappointed. I treated this very carefully, never used cooking spray or metal utensils. 3 months later I can't fry an egg without it sticking. Also the outside of the pan is a nightmare to keep clean. I have never used anything but baking soda and detergent to clean and only use a sponge on the inside… Read more
surface. Don't waste your money on Scanpan l agree with some of the reviewers should be called Scampan!
Just fabulous! – After years of using Le Creuset Dutch oven I switch to Scanpan Professional. No more stuff sticking to the bottom of the pot. This is a dream to use and clean. The deal I got was so good, I bought two different sizes. Kitchenware Direct is where I found the bargin, maybe I should have review them! Anyway, I paid under $100 each, Good luck finding the deal I found. Usually Peters can beat them, but not this time.
