I purchased Schwarz Creme Supreme Hair Colour cream - shade 8.16 Cool Ash Blonde at Priceline recently when it was on special for under $20. I've been colouring my hair for years succesfully without mishap. And I can obtain the same result I would pay over $500 for in a hair salon here in Canberra. When I first opened the box for this product - the two annoying things - the writing on the instructions was in less than 5 point font and even with my reading binoculars I struggled to read it. And like all hair colour products - the instructions were in English, Arabic, French and German (sigh). And they had an extra product to use with additional levels of complexity. You use a pre-colour bonding pre-serum before colouring. Then you mix the colours and apply to the hair in the usual way - wait 20 minutes and so on. After rinsing out you have to then dry your hair and add a blue bonding serum. I didn't feel like having two showers - so I circumvented this annoyance by simply towel drying hair - applying the blue stuff, popped on a shower cap and got in the shower for five more minutes for the blue bonding serum to do it's thing.

The hair colour came out a little darker than I expected - but overall I was really pleased. The blue bonding serum is like the purple dye you get to neutralise the yellow tones. And it worked beautifully. My hair tends to split and it's quite fine. The pre-colour pre-serum and the post colour blue bonding cream - are the winning combinations here. The hair colour worked well for me. I usually aim for a dark blonde/lighter blonde shade and I want full grey coverage. I give this hair colour 5 stars and I just ordered another box on Amazon for $15.

Schwarzkopf Creme Supreme Hair Colour 8.16 Cool Ash Blonde delivers an outstanding result. The colour is beautifully even with impressive long‑lasting grey coverage, and the blue bonding mask effectively neutralises yellow tones for a true cool blonde finish.

The three‑step system sets this product apart. The pre‑serum strengthens the hair by creating micro‑bonds, ensuring the colour applies smoothly. The colour cream performs exceptionally well, and the bonding mask leaves the hair soft, conditioned, and protected. I noticed significantly less damage compared to other permanent colours.

The inclusion of QR codes is quirky if you are interested in watching the how‑to videos and virtual try‑on tool make shade selection and application easy.

This is a high‑quality, caring colouration system that delivers exactly what it promises. Five stars.
