Perfect colour! – For those who are complaining that the colour fades too fast, always wash your hair in cool water. Hot water makes colour fade away very quickly. Do not wash your hair for 72 hours after you box dye so the colours can set in properly. your natural hair colour. If your hair had already been previously dyed, use a hair colour remover because you can't just colour over colour. Use Schwarzkopf hair oils because it makes your hair really silky smooth and makes the colour a bit more vibrant. I had natural black hair and box dyed my hair 'Dark Brown Allure' from the Schwarzkopf Brilliance selection. I didn't like how it turned out because it was too dark because of my black hair so I used a hair colour remover and it made my hair a copper like colour. I then used red passion straight after. It was a little bit of a dark red after dying it but the next day it brightened up a bit more and now its a lovely wine red colour!

The best for my hair – I have been using this product (L60) for years because it comes out great on my very long and fine, originally med-dark brown hair. And I often receive compliments, even from hairdressers and such. My hair comes out a tad darker than the picture on the box. as you use the correct after care hair products whilst washing your hair, the colour should certainly last longer than just a week or a month, as others are claiming on here. It doesn't wash out that easy, unless you're obviously doing something wrong. I wash my hair every 2nd or 3rd day, too. As that's much healthier than washing daily with my fine hair. And it certainly covers my many grey hairs. In fact, the lightness of my greys helps put lighter highlights to the overall colour. Instead of it being all one solid colour. It's also very easy to get off the skin, with a bit of soap and water on a face washer/flannel. And easily washes out of clothes and towels if you rinse it under hot water asap, then put it in the washing machine to wash in cold water. If I have spilt it on clothes and didn't notice until hours later, it still came out after 2-3 cold washes in the washing machine. It's never permanently stained my clothes or towels. Also, the smell is not that much different to the many other home dyes on the market. Most of them are potent smelling until you get used to them. And I know because I've been dying my hair with multiple different colours and with different brands for over 30 years since I was a teenager.

Terrible product – I bought this dye in the Chocolate Rush shade. I purchased 3 boxes as I have really thick hair and also wanted to dye my clip in hair extensions. disappointed with this product. I followed the instructions exactly and left the colour in for the recommended 30 minutes. Whilst my colour was developing I also coloured my extensions, which were previously a light brown. Whilst this isn't a huge issue, the dye also had quite a strong smell that lingers in your hair even after washing and conditioning. Upon rinsing my hair and the extensions I discovered that my hair was so dark it was almost black. The roots had also gone a strange muddy colour and my hair (which admittedly wasn't in top condition before dying) now feels like straw. My extensions were slightly lighter but still a lot darker than the colour shown on the box and now don't match my hair at all.

In short, I was really disappointed with this product and definitely wouldn't re-purchase. Not worth it at all. Nothing Made my hair a completely different colour than advertised, dried it out and made it feel awful. Terrible product

Fantastic results! – I usually wash my hair every second day and i was looking for a hair colour that would last. Not only has the colour lasted well but it made my hair look and feel amazing! I'll certainly stick with this one from now on!! Show details

great hair dye, although fades quite quickly – After dyeing my hair with this, the colour was a beautiful rich dark red, and faded into my dark brown roots nicely after they started growing out. However, the colour faded very quickly after the first few weeks, and turned into a weird orange colour with red highlights. Just what I wanted – I just used Chocolate Rush and I am very happy with it. It is not aggressively red, does not look purple in the sunlight and covered all my grey perfectly. I only wash my hair once a week so colors last a while. My hair feels great and the color washed right off my skin. Colour on the image on box looks quite auburn, I thought the colour name "chocolate rush" was odd for auburn. Unfortunately, the colour is a very DEEP brown. It looks like the job of changing packaging was given to the intern. Very disappointing. Show details

The colour on box and on the back does not match what the colour that your hair becomes! My hair was mousey salt and pepper brown.( I have used red passion with great success and only changed to that colour when the number that I was using was axed.) MY hair is now almost BLACK and unless I am sitting or standing next to a light or lamp there is no red highlights AT ALL Show details

Drips and stains everything – I thought this would be ok considering they got rid of the good Schwarzkopf colour but it wasn't. It wouldn't swash out. There is colour everywhere in my bin on my pillow. Everywhere. I know there was a good Schwarzkopf colour product but for some reason they chose to discontinue it. Nothing like the indicative colour – I have greying hair that I usually use a mid brown colour on, but wanted to add some copper red instead, just for a change. The box and the name of this colour indicate it's on the brown side of red, but it isn't. It was a burgundy red, which I really dislike with my complexion. Nothing violet about it! – If you want a violet/purple shade this colour will disappoint. It is red from the get go. It will also make your hair darker. If I wanted red I would specifically buy that colour. Comes off on towels for weeks. I suggest buying a black towel just for drying your hair or your good ones will be ruined. Show details

Turned into a ginger (not that theres anything wrong with gingers) – SO I was a happy customer, continuously colouring my hair every 5/6 weeks with the Romantic Brown when the last two times using it, bleached my naturally dark brown hair into a dirty reddish/brown. I now have been to the hair dressers twice to colour match my roots to my ends and will NEVER use it again. Colour didn’t stay in – I coloured my hair 4 days ago and made sure to cover every surface. I washed it tonight so I left it in for 4 days. Most of the dye washed out tonight. Did not cover grey as promised - Waste of my time and money - won't buy it ever again – Used this product for the first time on the weekend. "Perfect grey coverage" it says on the packet. Well, after following the instructions, it did not cover grey growth at all. I have sparkling, translucent grey regrowth. I now have to dye my hair again with a different brand product. Completely the wrong colour – I specifically bought this because it states that it works on dark hair. My hair is dark brown and the colour made my hair darker and in the light it is red!!! Don't recommend – Turned my hair black/dark cherry, opposed to violet purple like the packaging suggests. Very subtle as well. I have dark brown hair and the packaging said it work on black hair so I thought it would still show up well, but it didn't. Turned the ends of my hair virtually black as well when I was wanting it to be lighter! Don't recommend unless you want a subtle dark cherry colour.

Not good anymore – I have used this brand for years and used to recommend it to everyone but not anymore. I used it last month to cover grey regrowth and it started to burn my scalp but I stuck it out for 30 mins as advised. When I finished I noticed it has not taken in most of my grey areas! Washes out – I died my hair less then 3 weeks ago and only wash my hair 3 times a week. It has already started to wash out. My hair looks horrible now. I really don't want to dye my hair again but looks like I will have too. Stay away from this product I have had temporary colour last longer then this. Brilliant colour if you look after your hair properly – My natural hair colour is light brown with greys. This colour is like a dark mulberry on my hair, but after about a month or so it fades to red. I now use a keratin treatment and colour protect leave-in conditioner and the only reason I need to re-dye my hair is to cover the regrowth.
