Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Toner

Bring back the old formula! – I hate the new formula! I can’t express my utter disappointment at the change. I’ve used this silver toner for as long as I can remember and this is not a good change. This is blue based and actually threw some green in my hair. I know how toners work and this toner was great because it was gentle enough to cover yellow tones, however it’s. it strong enough to cover orange tones properly and left my hair patchy. I’ve tried the new formula more than once. I couldn’t wait to strip it out of my hair with head and shoulders and bi-carb. Bring back the old formula!

Works brilliantly! – Bought this to use on my daughters hair after she had bleached her hair from her natural dark brown to blonde. Prior to using this product her hair was that horrible straw yellow colour. As soon as we applied we could see the yellowness disappearing and we left it in for 20mins instead of the recommended 1-5mins (her hair is very thick). End result is a beautiful natural light blonde colour with really lovely white highlights throughout (probably the result of me not ensuring it was evenly distributed but nonetheless looks really good). Will absolutely use this product again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap toner that really works. Make sure you follow it up with some great deep conditioning treatments.

Literal worst toner – I used this after bleaching my hair twice and it stained my hair blue ??? actually disappointing I’d give this no stars but that’s impossible so I give it a 1 Do NAWTT use this toner if you actually want to tone your hair If you want a slightly light, greyish blue colour then this product is for you - otherwise steer clear ._. Show details

Pretty decent for price – Was good to finally find a blue based toner as most of them in stores seem to be purple which wont work on my hair as it has more orange than yellow tones. It managed to tone down most of the orange/brassiness, how ever i had to leave it in for at least 35 mins for it to work. Mostly happy with product. Show details

Favorite blue based toner! – It lasts about 4-5 washes for me. I loved the end result and it's my favorite toner by far! Hair colour can stain if not washed off right away! Great for orange tones or darker yellows! I saw alot of comments complaining about it turning hair blue, or being bad and not being the old formula. If anyone is wondering why, it's because it's a blue toner not a purple one. If your hair is a pale or light yellow you should use a purple toner and not a blue or your hair will be dyed! It worked perfectly for the purpose I used it for and it's a great product! Just has alot of bad reviews because people don't know how to use it or how different coloured toners work.

Affordable and satisfying! – Didn’t find it effective after the first use so I left it on for much longer the next time (45-50 mins). use regularly thought as it will fade quickly. I wash my hair every second day, sometimes every day because it gets greasy and sweaty from going to work and the gym.

Great product, removes brassy tones completely! – I wash my hair every 2 to 3 days, for me this product lasts up to 3-5 weeks. I was happy with the end result but wish it would last a bit longer. Show details

My hair went blue – After using this product for the first time my hair went blue after I bleached it two times. I was utterly disappointed after paying $13 for a product I put in three days before my wedding day. Now I have to show up at my wedding with blue hair, I can’t go to a hairdresser because of Covid, now everyone on zoom was gonna see me with blue hair at my wedding. The colours in my wedding aren’t even blue, it’s pink and white. #WeddingRuined

They changed the formula – This was my favorite toner I had ever come across. They have now created an anti-breaking formula and it doesn't do anything! Yellow has not faded at all. Very unhappy. Show details

New blue toner not old silver toner – What have you done !! You have replace a perfect silver toner with a revolting blue version. I’m not wanting to look like a 90 yr old pensioner. Nordic Blonde Anti Yellow Toner – I purchased this as I was needing a toner to help remove the yellow tones after highlighting my hair.... the product said it was suitable for blonde, lightened or highlighted hair.... my hair went bright blue instantly, I washed it off within seconds & then I had to reshampoo my hair again to get the rest of it out!!! I wont be buying it anymore as they changed it and its horrid – I have used the original for many years. I needed a new one and my husband bought the latest version from coles. I saw that it has been changed to "New" so I guessed it was just a better version. It was perfect before. It was bright blue and turned my hair blue. I had to go back to the shower and wash it twice to get it out of my hair. I had a small amount of the old one again and used it - perfect again. Not buying this any longer. Show details

Bring old formula back – The old formula (purple liquid) was EXCELLENT!! You could leave it in highly bleached hair briefly & it would be toned perfectly. I would leave it on longer for the underside/darker blond sections of my hair & it was soooo good. The new blue formula does not work at all!! Stains hair blue! Awful product! – Why did schwartzkopf change its blonde toner formula? The old formula was soooo good. Now my hair comes out blue, even if I only leave it in for less than a minute. Leaves hair blue, not toned – I have naturally light brown ash hair, I've been getting highlights for the past 3 years. I was buying this in the old packaging and it worked so well. This new one stained my highlights light blue and that was after only leaving it on for 2-3 minutes. Now I can't seem to get rid of the bluish tint, hopefully it will come out at the hairdressers. I didnt buy this product to get blue hair – Having used your toner for a number of years, am very disappointed that you have altered it. Instead of toning down the brassiness and having a lovely mauve tone, it is now bright blue. I will not be purchasing this any more. Show details

few months and was a staple in my hair care regime....not anymore!) I Would use the original violet packaged product in the shower every few days at my roots to keep yellow brass under control. So SO easy to use...and it WORKED beautifully without making my hair dull grey like this new version does. Have loved Schwarzkopf products for decade's and am SO Disappointed that a great product has been changed for the sake of "change". Why fix something that wasn't broken.

*Please* listen to your customers and change this back!!!! Unfortunately, will not be buying again & looking for an aternative product on places like eBay or online. ====== (FWIW: Nordic Blonde Mousse is fantastic).

I wish this worked – Used as per directions (given it multiple chances over the years using different brands to go blonde) and it barely takes any of the brassiness out. I wish I knew which product was best for me tbh. Show details

thats the problem is that its so hard to evenly spread and i bought one 150 ml bottle for my medium thick hair and i still have alot of brassy tones but now it looks like highlights amazing love it and left it on for 35 minutes to 40 minutes on my almost to dry damp hair

Must have for in between colours – Great product, was skeptical as I have a graveyard full of 'blonde products' and find a lot claim to do more than they do. For an inexpensive toner - it does the job. I was starting to dull and yellow inbetween colours and decided to try. Brightened it up, cooled it to a nice bright but ashy blonde. Need to condition after it though as it's a bit drying. Great fresh up when colour is dull.

Did absolutely nothing – My hair is blonde with very yellow tones. It should have worked perfectly but has made no difference whatsoever. Followed instructions exactly so hoped for at least a slight violet effect.

Great Toner – love this product really works! leave on for longer for better results! no damage and leaves a gorgeous shine and colour in which i desire! Thank you so much Schwarzkopf!

Nordic blonde toner – This product is by far the best I've used , I love how it doesn't leave any residue in your hair like the others. I will keep on using this toner, its just perfect, I love it & you will too!

Amazing Toning! – I was a little sceptical to use this product as it had so many great reviews - but because of the price I though what the heck. I left it on for 5 minutes and it completely got rid of the horrible brassy look and gave that perfect cool blonde look. I deep conditioned afterwards as I have dry porous hair and the condition afterwards was great! I normally pay a fortune for products and to think this gem is under $10!

Great cheap toner – This is a great inexpensive toner which works and smells great to minimise any bright blonde tones. I leave it on for about ten-15 minutes, (not much longer because as with any toner you can over tone your hair and make it look light purple in places.) I use it after shampooing and before conditioning so my hair is soft. however you can use it after conditioning too.

Absolute miracle!! – I dyed my hair and ended up with golden yellow roots, I was horrified and embarrassed. Picked this product up from woolworths and left it on all of my hair for about 35 minutes. After rinsing the product out I used conditioner so my hair wouldn't feel dry on the ends and once my hair was completely dry all the golden yellow tones were gone. I would definitely recommend this if you are struggling with horrible yellow tones in your blonde hair.

Nordic blonde toner saved my life – Tried every other blonde toner I could buy then found nordic it saved my life. nordic blonde toner which was very cheap didn't expect great results as I heard bad things but thought it couldn't hurt..put it on my daughter's dry hair for 30mins and it was a miracle it worked...life saver as no more angry teenager and beautiful blonde hair. can be hard to spread evenly and left it on for 20 mins rather than the 1-5 recommend on the box. once i rinsed my hair, it was a gorgeous blonde with ashy blonde highlights - it's ridiculous how good this product is for only $8

Trustworthy – I have very long thick hair. It usually takes hair dressers 4 hours to colour, wash and dry. I admit I disregarded what it says on the packaging because I wanted a full My Little Pony hair colour. So I put an entire tube of this on my hair, and left it for 45 mins, I think because my hair is so thick it needed longer. But my hair is undamaged, and looked gorgeous. I recommend a conditioning spray after you rinse.

Wear gloves and condition – My hair is brown with blonde highlights and it tends to throw out a lot of red and warmth. Tried this product for the first time. It did provide some toning, maybe one level. But not a huge difference. I have thick hair so think I'll leave it on for 10mins next time and increase in increments. I would definitely recommend wearing gloves as it's quite drying on the skin. I would also recommend a good conditioner afterwards and a hair serum.

Did nothing – I went from dark brown to blonde using the Nordic L1 bleach and it left my hair very "gold" (which is probably because I didn't leave the bleach on long enough - but I didn't want to be white blonde), so I went and bought this to try and take some of the yellow/orange out. I repeated it twice in the 1 day and it did nothing to change the colour.

white blonde. Given the brown she put in it i threw off alot of yellow on my roots and top part of my head. I tried evvvveeerything from purple shampoo even silver semi permenants and nothing would banish the yellow.. i even tried bleaching twice more to get the yellow to lift it just made it worse. Then i remembered the nordic toner and i was sure that's what got me my creamy white blonde everyone loved last time. So i painted it on the yellowness and bam! Got my platinum back.
