Sheridan Millennia Queen

Appalling fit – Purchased Sheridan millennia queen sized fitted sheets several years ago. The material is fantastic, the fit is appalling. It has never fitted the mattress, and yes it is the right size. Sheridan tried to correct by sending me a king sized flat sheet, and a second queen sized fitted sheet. What that was supposed to fix I have no idea. I ended up with two queen sized fitted sheets, neither of which fits, and a king sized flat sheet that hangs on the floor. I have broken finger nails, and sprained my wrist trying to get these fitted sheets over the mattress. For the sake of 2 cms extra of fabric at most Sheridan has lost my business and my respect in their brand. In frustration I have just split the seam down one corner hoping it would somehow help. My fault, completely ruined the sheet that otherwise could have possibly used on a double bed. It certainly doesn’t fit a queen. The sheet has been laundered correctly.

Not worth the cost – My first purchase of Millennia sheets was many years ago and I was happy with the feel and longevity. In recent years however the newer sets have been very disappointing. The texture is coarser than I remember and certainly doesn’t feel “luxurious”. The biggest issue however is that three separate flat sheets in the past five years have developed tears along the edging.

I have followed the care instructions and handled the sheets exactly the same as the original set more than ten years ago. For the price paid I would expect they would last for many, many years. Needless to say I’ll be looking at another brand to replace the most recent Millennia sheet that has now torn.

Cannot get the sheet to fit bed. Depth of pocket 50 cm is fine – Does not fit bed properly. Depth of 50cms pocket is fine but the top is too small. You cannot pull them over bed to fit properly on corners. Also these new one are very shiny and have an odour to them that seems not to be getting any better after a couple of washes. Very disappointed all round.

The new sheets are fine except they are definitely not as smooth as the previous sheets. They have quite a rough texture. Given the price, this is extremely disappointing. Sheridan seems to have reduced its quality but advertises its products as the same as previous. I am not happy and will try to source further replacements for worn sheets from different manufacturers.

Perfect sheet, imperfect fit – The sheets still feel wonderfully crisp. Problem is getting them over the mattress. The depth of the sheet is fine, the length and the breadth is to small. The sheets have been washed as per the instructions. They fitted initially, but are now to tight. Very, very disappointed. All they needed to do was add an extra centermetre in either direction. However I purchased a set of hotel quality cotton sheets from Aldi for more than $500 less. They feel almost identical - and they’ve continued to fit after several washes.
