My wife used Silver Chain and they didn't do much and I wouldn't advise anyone to go with them we finished with them over 2 years ago and we are only on a pension they are meant to help people but we keep getting letters from them asking for donations I think they have a nerve asking pensioners to give them money we will never use them again

This organisation is terrible, they continually, keep changing my mother's shower schedule!?!!???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am absolutely disgusted with the service provided by Silverchain Group. The complete lack of organisation and basic respect for elderly clients is shocking. given three different scheduled times for her cleaner, and even then, the cleaner turns up at entirely different times again. It’s confusing, stressful, and completely unacceptable for someone who relies on routine and stability.

It’s even more important that times are accurate because she has multiple medical appointments that need to be worked around. When appointments and care visits clash due to their mistakes, it creates unnecessary stress and disruption to her health care.

To make matters worse, when my mother tried to clarify the timing, one of their phone staff rudely told her she had “got the time wrong”—despite three witnesses hearing the original agreed time. Instead of taking responsibility, they dismiss and blame an elderly client. It’s disrespectful and frankly cruel.

On top of that, the way they treat their own cleaners appears just as poor—disorganised scheduling, lack of communication, and no regard for anyone’s time.

This service is unreliable, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating. Families trust organisations like this to care for vulnerable people, and Silverchain Group is failing badly.
