Sistema Ultra Square Container 4L

Not a big fan of Sistema Ultra - lid goes on without clips being aligned so you have 50% chance of getting it wrong unless you look carefully - lids hard to remove so requires 2 hands. Could they have put a cam on the clip so when the clip is opened it lifts the lid as well? - lids should have a more tapered fit so you don’t need 2 hands to press it down so you can engage clips. I’m not a product designer but surely it was tested and critiqued in developmt before going to production so these sort of things could have been averted.

Value, Convenience, Quality – Bought one of these (actually the 2.75L version) for taking lunch to work about 6 months ago and very happy with it. Hard wearing, good quality, ergonomic, and just the right size and volume for (nearly) a week's worth of sandwiches. Can confirm from experience that it is freezer and dishwasher friendly. I have a bad habit of holding it by one lid clip but despite doing this hundreds of times it's only popped loose once - it clicked right back in and has worked just as well since.

I keep thinking what good value it was and I realised - it's because it feels like it should have cost more than it did.

Brilliant - but not for the dishwasher! – These containers are fantastic for air-tight storage. BUT don't believe the label - they're not top shelf dishwasher safe! First time I washed one container on the top shelf and it completely warped. So definitely buy them - just don't put them in the dishwasher!
