A flaming turd would be easier to ride – The pedals are ridiculously stiff, and the steering is ridiculously loose. No child can be expected to learn any skills on this piece of overpriced junk. It’s currently out the front of the house waiting for someone to do us of the terrific fortune of stealing it. Waste of money. Should be taken off the market. Show details

Disappointing – Steering a big problem. Supposed to be able to change from child steered to adult steered but this doesn’t work at all. Show details

Pedals in wrong position for toddler use – Love the trike concept, just disappointed what my toddler looks like when she sits in it. The pedal position is too far back (seat is on the furthers position) her feet don't naturally sit on them so they're not in use forcing my little ones behind to slide forward. Lucky for the strap between the legs orherwise she'd slide forward and off the… Read more

seat. This in turn makes it uncomfortable for my little one and growls to get off after a 15min walk. I'll just have to wait when she's older to ride the trike with pedals.

Fell apart on pavement!! – This smartrike was being wheeled down a straight footpath when the wheel fell off and the entire trike fell apart with my daughter on board!! Contacted Smartrike by email and after several months they had not replied, followed up with another email only to be advised that the trike needed new parts which Smartrike do not produce for previous… Read more

models so it had to be thrown out. It was only used a dozen times, the most expensive mistake, a HUGE waste of money, terrible quality!!

Do not buy – Locks on its own, steering is difficult, seat too far from pedals. It’s terrible. I would not recommend at all. Overrated bike for kids. I wouldve bought a balance bike instead if i could return this crap. Show details

parent steering is difficult – The parent steering function is difficult to manoeuvre - because of this I question the safety of this product. I didn’t feel safe crossing roads with it, so we didn’t. We mainly did block walks with roads. Product tries to provide too much, so much so that at it doesn’t do anything it promises well. Folding out and down the product was difficult,… Read more

parent and/or toddler steering difficult, Toddler couldn’t reach pedals as the seat is too far away from the pedals. Design was very poor. Wouldn’t recommend this product.

Cheap materials, flimsy construction, waste of money – Poorly designed and made from cheap flimsy plastic. Marketed as a 6 in 1 but fulfills all roles very poorly. Worse than the cheapest walker. Worse than the cheapest trike. Grossly overpriced. The seat is a poor shape and not comfortable for the child. Definitely avoid. Show details

Major braking system flaw! – I brought one of these (2 hour drive to baby bunting) I used it for 20 minutes before the brake locked up and would not unlock! I left the carnival we just paid to get into, when I got back to baby bunting the brake unlocked but only one wheel would lock slightly then neither of them would lock at all even with the lock down. I got a new one took… Read more

it home and a hour later having the same issue! Major design flaw! I checked google and turns out a lot of people have this issue. A whole tank of fuel waisted on this expensive useless trike. Not impressed. Otherwise the rest of the features are great but clearly not the main safety component of the trike!!! Contacted them 3 times via their contact details in the manual. They said some one would call me but no one has called back and it’s been two weeks now! No record of each time I’ve called on their end. Don’t bother with their fancy name. Pulled up at an atm and put the lock on to see my daughter rolling down hill.

Great when you apply WD40 to front wheel assembly! – I bought this for my third grandchild having seen how much he wanted to be with and do the same things as his older siblings. However, the front wheel seized up after only a couple of uses. My son-in-law applied WD40 to the front wheel assembly and ever since it has been great. Harvey just loves it.
