Don't waste your money! – The clasps are poorly made and they only last less than a month!! Don't waste your money. Buy other brand like Sistema or Decor. Great idea, durability is poor, desperately needs improvement – I seen the smash stainless steel lunchbox and thought what a great idea. Even the lid seemed to clasp on quite well, so maybe there wouldn't be any issue with leakage as advertised. I never had any leakage issues.

Durability of this product was an issue though. The clasp snapped off on one end of the clasp itself within a month. I was still able to lock the lid closed though because the other end of it was still good. I persisted using the container for another 2 weeks because I liked the container. It was easy to wipe out and clean and left no oily residue or odours, so it rarely went in my dishwasher.

The container was never completely filled for lunch, maybe only half full, it's a good size which has plenty for room for those with a bigger appetite.

I followed the instructions of not heating it for more than 2 mins at a time at 1000w, which proved a little limiting. I would place it in the microwave for 1.5mins, would need to stir the food because it rarely heated through the first time, then i would place it in the microwave again for a short period of time.

It was hard to get balance with the heating. I think sometimes the metal container would keep parts of the food cool during the heating process, so by the time I stopped and stirred and then microwaved the food again, the container became too hot to handle with bare hands after that point.

The last time I heated my food up with the container- the plastic lid warped. The container is no longer usable after 4-6weeks.

I won't be buying this product again unless there it improvemnet on design. I love the potential, but it's just not there yet and probably should've been tested a lot more before releasing to the public. Unfortunately another product unnecessarily added to landfill when it should've lasted a minimum 1-2years of daily use.

Suggestions- fix the integrity of the weak clasp, replace the lid with better suitable material for the microwave and although I don't want a handle put on it because that's inconvenient for storage, the metal container needs a silicone rim or exterior coating or something for the consumer to pick it up with after heating.

have so many issues that they're not even functional, and I will be returning them.

Firstly, the lunchbox is not cast/molded in one seamless piece, rather the outer shell is one piece, and compartment dividers have been added separately afterwards. These dividers are made from thin flat sheets of metal with little tabs bent at right angles to attach them, they look soldered to the outer shell and to each other. This causes a number of shortcomings: 1. The box is NOT leak proof as advertised. The tabs are only approx half as long as the compartment dividers, which means that the rest of the length is not sealed off from the adjacent compartments. This means that food leaks underneath the compartment dividers, so my kids sandwiches end up soggy from baked beans, drained tinned corn, or even just the natural wetness of cucumber sticks. I'm not trying to put soup or applesauce in these compartments, any solid food that has moisture is problematic. 2. These gaps allow wet food to seep under, but there is no way to clean underneath them properly. 3. The edges of the tabs along the bottom of the box feel uncomfortably sharp when washing out the box by hand (more on washing below).

Next, the tops of the dividers are not quite as tall as the outer shell, and aren't even the same height across the whole divider, there are little cut-outs at the edges that serve no functional purpose, in fact they make it less functional. The only reason I can think of for these cutouts is that it uses less material per divider, likely allowing them to arrange the cutout pattern to get more divider pieces cut out from less metal. The issues this causes: 4. The little cutout gaps give another way for foods to spill over to adjacent compartments. 5. The cutout notches create more tight areas with edges that are uncomfortably sharp when washing it. 6. Even the higher parts of the dividers don't reach the rubber seals in the lid. The lid has seals that correspond to the compartment dividers, looking like they are meant to prevent leakage from one compartment to another if the lunchbox is turned sideways in a schoolbag. This is just for show, as the seals don't actually make contact with the dividers, so they're not doing anything at all.

Further, the lunchbox is labelled top rack dishwasher safe. The cardboard packaging it comes in states "This product is Top Rack Dishwasher safe. However, to extend the life of this product and finishes, hand-washing is recommended." In our couple weeks of use it was mostly hand-washed, and put in the dishwasher on the top rack only a handful of times. Already: 7. The blush finish of one outer box has come off in spots, and, 8. Some of the lids have warped so that they are lifting up on some sides/corners, meaning that the outer ring of the rubber seal is not contacting the outer edge of the box, so the box not only leaks internally between compartments, but will now leak outwards into a backpack.

Lastly, 9. One of the lid clips came off within a couple days, the other clip on the same lid a few days later. It's not actually the clip that is broken, rather one of the plastic pins that holds the clip on is missing from each side of the lid. There's actually nothing rough or broken where the missing pin should be on either side, and I never saw any little broken bits, so I'm wondering if maybe it's a badly molded lid that never had those pins in the first place. Although I can slide the clips back into place on one pin, it is loose and not secure, they just fall off again soon afterwards, and can't be relied upon to hold the box closed.

All in all these boxes have been a total disappointment. I paid a higher price for what seemed like a higher quality product that was environmentally friendly, but I have been happier with cheap plastic lunch boxes from Kmart, and certainly gotten much longer use out of them too.

the compartment divider. I find it difficult to fill the smaller compartments with anything because they are too small. I also worry about the lid quality, it is made from a clear hard plastic that may crack easier then the other softer plastic lids. Another downside to this product is that the compartment dividers prevent being able to stack multiple bento boxes inside each other without the lids to save space.

All in all it’s an ok product, hygienic easy to clean stainless steal makes it a healthier option. It’s just a little pricey considering its Made in China.
