Too easily damaged – We purchased this induction cooktop and have had it for around 18 months. A small chip on the edge resulted in a crack across the entire corner of the cooktop. Although the product is in warranty Smeg say that it is not covered and we have to pay to have it repaired! It is obviously a design fault if a small chip can cause the whole top to crack. Poor design – The induction system is very good heats up fast and the heat go down very fast too.. The only problem is when you use the spots close to the display buttons it gets very hot so it's hard to change the temperature and turn off in a hurry!! Or if u are cooking with oil it spills and you can't touch the buttons to turn it off.. In my opinion it looks very good but not very functional!! It's fast Poor design
