Hopeless fridge freezer – This is the second smeg I bought and they both have been duds. The first smeg fridge had problems with resetting itself after fridge turned off or power cut. Kept going ding dong all the time and couldn't use the front panel. So we got rid of that one and got another smeg SR611N only to find couple of years later ice maker packed up and now find I can't find a replacement. So no icemaker. Watch out for these fridges. They are hopeless.

Unfit for purpose – Upgraded to a SMEG SR611X fridge with a new build package - paid extra to have this fridge . First fridge we had developed a water dispenser issue , waited months fir a new door , always the same reason given by their service company - 5 to 6 week wait for parts to come from over East . After door replaced , ice maker broke , 5-6 week wait and replaced . Went again so requested a new fridge which eventually arrived . 6 months later new fridge ice maker packs up . 5-6 week wait for parts and then recently it’s gone again . I have requested a refund via SMEG which they are honouring but so far not enough to buy a fridge of similar value ?! Oh and we have to wait 5 to 6 weeks for a cheque from over east !!!! Ridiculous !! I can transfer thousands to anyone at the touch of a button on my phone banking but SMEG rely on a cheque being posted to the unhappy customer !! Safe to say I will never buy SMEG again .
