Despite mentioning pyrolytic surfaces, this oven does not have a cleaning function. They attempt to convince the user that the “Vapour Clean” function is superior to a pyrolytic cycle. It is not. Vapour clean is a joke. Despite several attempts, it is a filthy mess. So disappointed.

 Follow-up  · The Smeg team reached out to me and stated that Vapour clean is not meant to clean "baked on" grime. I am not sure what other type of grime an oven produces? By the nature of the machine (it bakes) all grime is baked on. What a disappointing outcome from a supposedly reputable brand. Do not buy anything less than full pyrolytic cleaning functions.
