I have 3 Sodastreams . The oldest push down at the top model is far superior to the others . The ART model looks cool but it spurts water from the top at every use with anything more than a tiny push .. it is completely useless and messy . I have not noticed a gas leak problem yet as have only fizzed about 20 bottles . I tried filling with less water ( a good cm below the line .. still spews water everywhere Show details
I bought SodaStream Art in August 2022, looks great and is very easy to change the gas bottle and load and unload the water bottle, BUT. For the first year there was nowhere near us to buy the pink label gas bottles. Now the seal on the SodaStream has gone so when carbonating the water the gas leaks and water explodes everywhere. believe it has been worth the money. I would like to buy a more basic model but am now stuck with 4 pink gas bottles that only fit the Art.
Barely fizzes despite following the instruction a to a tee. Can’t fill it to the line indicated it pours out all over . A waste of money . Will be returning it for sure . Waste of money Show details

gas bottle is nearly empty. Often keeps leaking gas when I take the bottle off. It takes several minutes to fizz a bottle to my taste.i have to keep taking the bottle off and clearing the ice from the spout. ‘Not happy Jan’
Don’t buy this model sodastream – We purchased one of these in Feb 2023 and it worked for a few months before starting to play up. Gas bottle was really cold and gas was leaking from machine. Sodastream to their credit replaced it quickly, this was in June 2023. It has now totally gone again. Not compatible with all gas cylinders – I thought I would upgrade to a Soda Stream Art, HUGE mistake. It won't take any other gas bottle but the pink one, which is hard to get. I now have a gas cylinder stuck in my machine that I can't get out.. Total waste of money. Show details

Downhill – I have used soda stream for almost 35 years and recommended them to all my friends and family, unfortunately about years ago something changed in all of there new models, they expel gas which means a bottle that lasted me 4 weeks now only lasts 1 week and on top of that now they all leak water. stream send me 2 more new machines all with the same problem, so disappointing what a shame that a company like that tried to make improvements to a great machine but failed. SODA STEAM PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD MACHINES.....

No pink quick connect cylinders stocked anywhere – Replaced my old machine with the new SodaStream Art, it was awesome…while the gas lasted. At which point we found that absolute nowhere (coles, Woolworths, servos) stock the pink cylinders for exchange. So now it’s just sitting there taking up space. SodaStream - maybe don’t sell a product without making sure people can use it? Definitely would not have bought if there was any communication that stores don’t stock the new cylinders. Show details

Pink Quick Connect Gas Bottles - NOT AVAILABLE!! – I Purchased the new SodaStream Art from the Good Guys in Belconnen December 2022. It uses a new pink quick connect bottle which is not compatible with the blue bottles - it turns out the Good Guys do not support the pink bottles - similarly Service Stations DO NOT STOCK pink bottles either. Too long to fizz, mechanism feels like it is breaking when releasing & no gas cylinders – We've had several Sodastream units over the years, and have made a decision to stick to the non electric versions due to an issue with our 3 year old Sodastream Power where it doesn't work anymore. are unable to source the new Quick Connect pink cylinders, as no Woolworths, Coles, JB Hifi, Harvey Norman or other retailers that I have tried have had any stock at all (for well over two weeks now), so whilst the new machine looks good, it is currently useless to us. Please consider any purchase of a machine that requires the pink bottles carefully on this point.
2 - Feels clunky - The bottle release mechanism is very odd and it feel like it is breaking each time we release the bottle, it works, just doesn't feel like the machine is going to last. This is a premium machine, it shouldn't operate like this.
3 - Takes quite a bit of time to fizz - You have to press the handle 5-7 times for a reasonable carbination, even our very first and cheap basic Sodastream only required 2-3 presses of the button, this is a step backwards.
I'm very disappointed about this product, would not recommend it to anyone at this point in time. Maybe once the gas cylinder issue is addressed, but make sure you try to attach a bottle and remove it before making a decision.
(I have logged a support call with Sodastream about Gas Cylinder availability, however don't really expect more than a default "we are working on it" answer, that is not good enough for a product that costs this much money).
