Awesome Camera still in 2021 – I got hold of this little diamond of a camera used in 2021 April, and honestly, it is a beast of a camera for the price I paid. Get a body for $ ~1600, which is a steal for the features of this camera. Thinks I like 1. Low light capability: Amazing low light performance: Can shoot up to 6400 ISO with very usable pictures. You can of course expand to much higher than that. 2. Sensor MPXL: 42 megapizels 3. FE Lenses: Although some people are not happy about the prices of the Sony and third-party FE lenses, these lenses are next-generation compared to the comparative Crop sensor and even full-frame lenses of other brands. I got myself a Tamron 28-200mm 2.8-5.6 which is more than twice as sharp (at least 19 megapixels or more) as my old Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 STM, which has effective megapixel sharpness of less than 9. A sharper lens will always give better options for cropping your images.

Which I don't like: Battery life is about 2-3 hours of moderate use. Has to have more batteries in pocket. But you can't have small body like this with large batteries. :-)

A high resolution modern camera – Best camera I own for the time being. With a 42M IBIS* sensor, 5 frames/sec, over 400 focusing points, ISO invariance*, you can't possibly get wrong with a shot (you are out of luck if you did). As my Canon glasses (so sad not for those super telephoto lenses) can be used via my Metabones IV adapter, I use it almost everyday. I have heard that purple frindge would occur when you shoot with a strong backlight, but I didn't have such an issue up till now.

The only problem is, the file size are too big that I have to resize them to save my harddisk space.

I probably need to upgrade my PC(an i-5 machine) at the moment to process my images faster, which is something to consider before buying this beast.

* Google "ISO invariance" and "IBIS sensor" for details.
