Do not recommend – Display regularly disappears and cannot be easily reset. Very disappointed in this product. User guide does not provide the required details to rectify. Suggest you spend your money elsewhere. Big no from me. Show details

Display Failed in Under Two Months - Not Recommended! (DAB/FM Clock Radio ) – I replaced my old Sony clock radio with this newer model and checked some reviews prior to purchasing. A common theme of the reviews of this product on this and other sites indicated there may have been an issue with the display 'dying', often after a short period of time, but thinking these were isolated problems I proceeded with the purchase. … Read more

That was on 1 May, 2020 and today, 21 June, 2020, slightly under two months of use, the display on my clock radio has indeed faded into oblivion. Initially, I was delighted with the unit which I thought was well-designed, had a good clear sound and a clear display. Although a clever design, the unit is obviously marred by problems, I suspect due to cheap manufacture and poor quality components. I do not recommend you buy this clock radio. At a RRP of $129.00 this unit is vastly over-priced. I have left a 1 star rating for this product (Terrible). This commonly-occurring flaw would indicate that the product should not be on the market until the fault is rectified. I will be returning this item to Harvey Norman during the week and replacing it with another brand. I would be most interested to receive a response from Sony on this public forum.

Disappointed – Previously had enjoyed one Sony clock radio cube for DECADES. Decided to upgrade with latest model. It broke down after two months. The programming is rediculous and NO WAY intuitive. I look at the radio and wonder how any company could have launched such an outmoded product. It sure is not made by Apple. Show details

Fiddly input buttons – This clock radio looks OK and it's made by Sony but it's always been a fiddly chore to adjust the settings. I've had it for 3 years and finally chucked the f*#*er out. Also the speaker sounded cheap. I just replaced it with a cute white $20 clock radio from Kmart and it's a breeze to operate and sounds better. Happy now : ) Show details

Love the look! – This radio has just the look I was seeking to complement my new white kitchen. Unfortunately the black cord means it doesn’t look as good as I hoped! Lack lustre sound and poor quality instructions overall mean I couldn’t rank this highly. Show details

Great so far – Love this clock. Replaced another Sony cube clock radio that died after about ten years. When you turn it on it automatically knows the date & time. You can set the alarm to go off only on weekdays. I dropped the thing because I plugged it in with the chord still bound up (don't do that) it hit the ground pretty solidly and it seems to have not bothered it. DAB is about 1000% better than FM and I'm probably underplaying that number. Show details

Great clock radio but challenging to program – After many years of degrading AM radio reception in our area it was time to get a clock radio that would receive AM. A DAB radio seemed to be the only sure alternative so the Sony DAB clock radio was the pick. Excellent reception of both AM and FM stations so all good. But the clunky programming for time, stations and alarm is crazy. Opening… Read more

the instructions you find the biggest sheet of paper ever produced telling you how to do it. Having minimal buttons on the radio means each button has multi uses with choice of press or press and hold. Some buttons on the back others on top.

Suggest having an assistant to read while you do the setting.
