Excellent TV – Had this TV for very 11 years. Looks good white frame . Picture great sound good. Quality is superior . Remote's button stuck after 8 years. Got a substitute works well. So happy with this purchase. Seemed expensive at time but was Def worth it. Show details
Still Going Strong After 11.5 Years – Wow, can you believe this, in the age of perishable electronics, this is outlasting everything. Huge downside - it just doesn't want to die (lolz...). Seriously, we are so attached to this TV that we just dont feel like upgrading it until this wants to die. May be it will settle as a vintage item. This still fits our needs, we dont need 4K at the… Read more
moment, kids are small scratching every bit of screen, so not bothered upgrading at the moment. Definitely Sony way, definitely Made in Japan way. Sure considering buying next Sony TV, hope that dies soon, so I can upgrade with newer technology. lolz.
Solid and dependable – Bought this in 2009 and still going strong. Tuner died some time ago, but have been running it off my DVR without problems. Picture quality still good. Outclassed by newer TVs but still great for my needs. Show details
Still going strong after 11 years – About to retire this tv after 11 years, we purchased another Sony to replace it in 2016, but the old KDL40X3100 is still going as a 2nd TVp This has been a great TV, one the 1st Sony 1080p LCD televisions back in 2008. Still works perfect, never had a service call or replaced anything, remote took many poundings off the back of the couch, still… Read more

The picture is dated now compared to 4K TVs, but it’s to to see when u buy a quality product, it goes the distance!! Made in Japan!
It originally came with a free PS3 ( a Sony promotion at the time). The PS3 only lasted 2 years, before it overheated and died. The TV has lasted the difference. It has plenty of HDMI ports and in elegant glass surround the screen. Doesn’t have any bells or whistles software wise (no smart TV functionality).
$4,000 TV broke down after 3.5yrs – I had a Sony kdl70" TV which was purchased for $4000 broke down after 3 and a half years. I do not believe this is a reasonable time for a TV to stop working, especially as I could have purchased a TV of the same size for $2000. Sony have not been helpful at all, after sending them all the information and filling out a form, they simply sent me a small discount to buy another one of their overpriced TV's!! No thanks! Excellent – I have a X-series and XBR-series both 40" and both are working very well. Apart from the software load in the XBR series is newer (being a newer TV) and the colour of the frames are different, there is really nothing more separating these two TVs apart. Both are top quality TV and it is a SONY! Great look!! Top brand name! nothing goes wrong with… Read more
Sony. Great picture quality and different types of plug-ins available at the back of the TV. Love the automatic tuner. glass surrounding makes the TV more prestige. Love the nice silver remote control. Takes few second to complete channel change. Heavy. Glass frame makes the TV larger than other 40" LCDs. Antenna came with the TV cannot be used in my apartment. Need two male heads but it came with one male and one female.
Excellent – Fantastic TV, I have had this for about 2 years now and it still looks new, still get the oos and aah from people, even from those who have bought newer units. Have had people go back and return their new LCDs and buy a SONY after seeing mine. Great looking TV, great colour with bright rooms Wish I bought a larger one but Sony are not cheap!
Excellent – This was of the more expensive TVs on the market when we bought it, but well worth the extra. Fantastic picture and a beautifully designed TV, unlike alot of others. We have since purchased another Sony Bravia TV and are very happy with it aswell. Fantastic picture quality especially when watching a Blu-ray and reasonable sound from the speakers. … Read more
Plenty of adjustment for the picture. More than enough inputs for most people. Remote will work other products (and not just Sony products!)
Sexy looking with the glass bezel. One of the few still made in Japan. Not much, maybe a bit slow to change channels (which Sony have fixed with their new models).
Good – This unit is good enough for big living rooms and bedrooms. Like what they say, if you have it, flaunt it. I’m proud to have this Sony Bravia. Good-looking tv. Right size. High-end features. Picture quality at its best Slow input control. Occasional fizzy sound coming from tv.
Good – Finally, a TV experience like no other! Thanks Sony! It’s been blissful 2 weeks now as far as TV viewing is concerned. I’ve been enjoying full HD 1080 resolution right in my very home. The latest action flicks look more captivating with the “Motionflow” feature which displays rapid sequences with smoothness. Go into theater mode with ease, and maximum viewing pleasure is achieved. It does cost a bit, but it's worth it. Show reply
