Sony Master Series A9G

This TV has been nothing short of an absolute disappointment since we bought it new. It's been a constant source of frustration, and we've finally had enough—it's being sold secondhand to a gamer who'll run a PS5 on it, and I'm sure it will excel at that and probably last decades. The biggest issue is the OS; it is flaky, unreliable, and nearly criminal that something so expensive can operate so poorly. If we had known how long these issues would last, we would not have purchased it, or I would have told them to come and pick it up from the verge.
In summary, it does remind me of the classic tale of a tech giant resting on its laurels—complacency is a dangerous game in an industry that moves at lightning speed! Sony, much like certain legacy phone brands (we all know who they are, start with N and end with A), might have once led the charge but basically lost out to hungry competitors.
Sony A9G = 8 grand faulty TV with slow repair service – my tv developed a vertical white band within a few days of purchase. everything else with the TV was pretty ok. however after reporting the fault it took Sony a good 6 weeks to get a replacement screen. didnt offer to replace the TV despite being brand new. they replaced the screen but the new screen had faulty sound (as the sound is built in). replaced motherboard but still faulty, decided the replacement screen faulty. now taken away for further investigation but who knows what issues what will come back with. not a good experience so far
