Great picture – Not sure about the poor reviews. The picture is excellent and it's great for viewing movies and sport. I find Google tv the most annoying as I can't work how to sort apps and it keeps putting paid apps on the start screen.

Purchased at Bourjois.

not up to sony standard – Bought this tv as a runout model, on discount. glad i didn't pay full price. The good. 4k pctures look brilliant in smart tv mode. Its big and the screen can be adjusted to give a good picture. Its a google tv, hence the smart functions are same as a google chromecast tv and work well after couple of mintues use (can be slow after cold start) and plenty of apps are avaliable. Blue tooth remote has great range over 8 meters, can add other bluetooth devices The Bad. Its a google tablet with a tv attached, google can take 45 seconds to startup from a cold start before a free to air channel is displayed. if power is always on startup is very quick. but i have a power saving device that kills power to tv and accesories when not in use. The audio is absolute crap, like an old portable radio. for a $1400 tv thats ridiculus. must use a sound bar The tv guide displays programs but no info 50% of the time. a very ordinay guide at that. Even with the google assistant turned off. tv occasionaly jumps to google assistant and then does nothing, when nobody is even near the remote or speaking. Dark patchs in all corners of screen, but thats not too annoying, its not a fault, they made it like this. Lack of buttons on remote make tv navigation difficult, using a generic remote for some functions. SD programs look really bad, upscaling is crap, Way to many options for picture control, was too bright or to dark depending on input. found its best when most options are turned off or to minimum. I am comparing the picture, remote, audio to a 13 year old panasonic plasma, the sony is only better on 4K images. if your fussy like me, then look at the 95 series tv. Just hope its as reliable as the plasma which is still in use with a google chromecast tv.

Bad experience with reseller and product – Spent approx 4k in store got a PS5 and new Sony x85k 75inch TV worked well at the start but after a day or two the TV would randomly not turn off but loose total image and sound screen goes black and comes back does it randomly. The TV has updates software twice since buying it when fault occurs inhave to restart the TV via the menu. Contacted the store as the TV is brand new they put me onto Sony just an ugly process dealing with Sony and Jb hifi no one wants to take responsibility i can't sit here with a camera waiting for the error to occur so I can record it.

TV is wall mounted with burried wiring and independent power outlet also in the wall they want me to disconnect the TV which is impossible by myself just a shocking experience will be formally lodging a complaint with consumer affairs if not sorted soon. My mistake though had a samsung series 10 yr old TV still going strong thought I'd upgrade it after buying the ps5 so went sony to keep it uniform what a mistake that was.

Will be hitting them up for refund and they wear the cost if pulling it off the wall.

In conclusion buy your TV from Harvey Norman and don't buy Sony TVs

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $2,400.

Ordering Sony TV's on Sony's website – Do not do it. There is no advantage in ordering your TV online with Sony direct. Retailers can offer the same price and if the product is damaged they take responsibility. I ordered a 43 inch 4K UHD during the Black Friday sales. DHL couriers delivered the TV in a box that had 2 footprints on it. The TV screen was shattered and the courier must of known. Then getting online , reporting the problem to the Phillippines was an absolute nightmare. Dealt with 4 different people telling me different things and there was no case file that was saved. I had to send 2 lots of photos and eventually enough was enough. I asked to speak to their supervisor and told them what a mess Sony online is with support & handling of issues. I even called Sony Australia in Sydney. I demanded to know how long it would take to process and i got approval in 2 days. Within a week the damaged TV was picked up and i received the new one. Just goes to show that if you push hard you will be rewarded with proper service. It shouldn't be this way!
