Excellent TV (Almost) – I was tossing up between UA75MU7000 and the 75X9000E, I decided to go with the Sony at the end after I read a lot of reviews. The TV has superior picture quality, rich in functions and apps so overall I am happy with the purchase but wish if the remote wasn't so finicky. It doesn't work unless its pointed directly at the TV.A little annoying Show details
Awsome – I picked up this TV for a bargain $3750 - normally listed around $4500 -$5400 (2017 model). I wanted a OLED; however, 75Inch OLED's are way too expensive ($12000AUD). After shopping around and deciding on what I wanted, this TV presented with the best quality per inch (hands down). For a LED/LCD ULTRA 4K TV I was blown away with the picture… Read more
quality. TV picture quality has come a long way since I bought my Samsung 52 inch 9yrs ago. Whilst not as good as OLED - it's pretty darn close. It's size coupled with its picture quality has just blows me away when viewing at home. Remember - the TV will seem much larger in your home than in the shop you bough it at. I was considering a 65inch version, but if you can afford it and you have the space in your lounge room - go the 75inch, you won't regret it! Speakers on the TV are ok for normal viewing, but for that cinema experience I would 'pony up' on a sound bar. Ports - the TV has 4 HDMI ports (one with ARC) for your sound bar. WiFi connectivity works well and it was simple to set up, if you have 4K streaming be ready to be to amazed. My setup includes a quality sound bar and coupled with the KD-75X9000E offers an awesome home theatre experience..
Amazing picture quality, Best Purchase – Pros: Amazing clarity, no nonsense value, Side by side comparison with other non OLEDs was comparably better (mind you in some stores they use settings on certain brands to get more sales on them). Try kiosk, they are helpful. They let me bring my own USB and play different resolution files before deciding. Recommended. Cons: Android TV can be slow at times (which I believe is Android TV issue rather than Sony itself) Show details
Best in class for LED/LCD TV – I am very happy with picture quality overall. It seems to have all the bells and whistles. However, I wish I could have afforded the X9300/X9400 series which had Dolby vision. A lot of movies especially on Apple TV support Dolby Vision for HDR formats. The other downside of this TV is it's thicker than expected, most TVs in 2017 and 2018 are very… Read more
thin, even my Samsung from 2012 feels slimmer. That doesn't truly bother me, but for some people looks can be overwhelmingly important. I wanted a 75" and it's the only reason i went with LED over OLED as 65" was the biggest size available at the time with OLED.
However, on the positive notes, it's blacks are really deep to the point I wouldn't be able to distinguish much from OLED. The picture quality is solid and watching 1080p vs 4K content look both the same to me thank to the excellent up scaling features in the Sony X1 processor.
I haven't tried the TV sound much as it automatically controls my existing soundbar really well (auto turn on and off) and channels audio flawlessly. I have a high end sound bar so didn't bother or was concerned with built-in sound, although some of the reviews will say it's quite good on it's own as well.
The android TV as rich and powerful it is, it's flimsy and hangs up or restarts app. It also tends to slow down sometimes. Android built-in chromecast can't be truly controlled by google home, which came as a surprise. I can't turn on/off tv or send commands to play netflix on this TV. I could do that with my older TV with chromecast 2 connected. Just something to be aware of and can be fixed by installing a chromecast 2 or ultra. I hope google and would overcome thing limitation by future software updates.
Cinema experience at home – Upgraded from Sony 55"... worth the money, 75 inches of amazing picture quality, different effects - movie mode, sports, gaming etc. Smart tv setup/apps great, easy to use. We run sound through external surround system, quality great. Feels like your at the movies. Can be wall mounted. Playstation, foxtel, sound system run off it with enough ports. No negatives so far! Excellent TV, Great visuals – The quality of the image on this tv is great and competes strongly with the LG OLED series of TVs. One thing that I find important is a tvs ability to upscale an image, very important when you're sitting right in front of a 75' tv as you'll miss nothing. Great colour, great tv. Show details
Great tv. got it for discounted price – Great picture. Smart tv function is good, got youtube, games etc. Design looks good. The only thing I can think of is switching channels is always quite slow in the Sony. But other than that its pretty good. Its not too expensive for the quality but it did cost us a few thousand which is not exactly cheap Show details
4K Magic – I bought this TV to introduce myself into the world of 4K. I had recently updated both my PS4 and Xbox to the 4K versions and I must say the picture is truly incredible. However I would only recommend the update to people who have access to 4K content, especially Netflix in 4K. Its well worth the purchase. Show details
Great Picture Quality – I've had this TV for about a month now and the picture quality is great! The speaker quality is decent but I use surround sound for a better overall sound. The TV has more than enough ports so you shouldn't run out. I haven't used the smart apps much yet but after looking quickly it seems easy to use the smart interface. I would highly recommend this TV. Show details
