Quality is bad – It’s a bad unit. The facia trim forms cracks within a few months of owning. Had this happen to me twice. The first unit formed cracks on the bezel and the unit kept freezing, and the replacement unit, has done the exact same as the other within a couple of months. Then when I emailed Sony for a warranty, they said “no”, because it considered “wear and tear”. Not worth the $500.

Purchased in at Supercheap Auto Physical Store for $499.

Easy to install, easy to use and looks great! – Purchased the Sony XAV - AX 3200 on 26th Nov for our daughter’s VW Polo. Love that it was so quick and simple to install taking less than half an hour. A bonus if you ever want to sell the car and remove the head unit before hand or leave it in as a nice little upgrade. It has easy to use functions integrating with Apple and can be used with Android too. The screen is clear and easy to read and the sound quality is excellent. The design is sleek looking like it has always been part of the vehicle, although we did need to purchase a mount casing to go around the unit being it’s a Polo vehicle. So far the only negative we have found is that it is promoted as “anti glare” however there is some glare on the screen which you will see in attached pics. This was purchased on sale at Autobarn Brendale so has represented great value, but would have purchased anyway at full price. We still haven’t uncovered all the features, as it has many, so can’t comment on those. But as for the functioning of all the basics and value for money we’re very happy.
