Ready to order - but with heavy action – I've got a multiple of these slick rigs in a few different colours when I went through the jigging stage of my life targeting larger flathead in the seaway, I even gave these a go when I worked up at Townsville while targeting smaller Barra in the Burdekin River. These are a great pre rigged option to buying separate heads and bodies - these lures come in a variety of colours and only one size when I purchased them back in 2009 and 2010. They're available in a smaller size and weight for smaller target fish.

Typical Squidgy technology in these lures and on a cheapish scale, I found that they rusted out quiet severely internally - the lead internal weight system corroded and affected the rubber body very prematurely and this also affected the lures that were stored with them. I washed them pretty well after each fishing trip and stored them in Plano boxes and in each individual colour lots. However they continued to corrode and some have been damaged so much that I had to throw them away.

I think that the salt that they pack them in helps in the corrosion process and the speed / acceleration that it occurs - as salt absorbs water quiet readily and harbours it when the lures are sitting idle.

I've also noticed that the bodies can rip easily as the rubber is softer around the head of the lure where the weight is, some fish like Cod, Jacks and larger flatties have teeth that rip the rubber easily, rendering the lure useless, or barely hanging on at all. Some superglue can repair them temporarily however the next fish will destroy it again.

My overall thoughts of the Slick rig is 'convenient' but at a price of quality and customisation and longevity. In comparison to other lures the Slick Rig is a costly alternative and one that is easily lost with structure.

Recommend: Both Yes and No. There are better options out there that cost much less... Quick and easy to use, fishability, good weight (sometimes on the heavy side), good strong hook system. Internal weight corrodes easily and ruins rubber body & others with it, hooks rust away quickly with packets salt ingredients. Lures rubber body rips easily with fish attack...
