Replacement Stanley Flask – Have owned an old stanley vacum flask for many years and because I couldn't purchase another locally,only online I purchased another brand which seems to be working well, however on holidays in NSW'S l came across a camping shop which stocked the classic model green in colour and am happy to report works fantastic not sure if I'm lucky or not as there seems to be plenty of bad reviews maybe thier quality control problems have been solved? Stanley Thermos Stoppers – Stanley Thermos s' are expensive but a good product. My only complaint is that with use the stoppers wear out and wont seal so you end up with cold water. The bigest problem is it's usually the silicone seal on the bottom of the stopper and you can't get them. of the new price of the Thermos. The silicone seal on the bottom of my 1.9 LT stopper is usually the problem and you just can't buy them even from Stanley. The seal would cost about $2 but they only sell the complete stopper which is almost imposible to get in Australia.[WHAT A RIP OFF]
Rather frustrating till I read other reviews – In 2004 we lost our Stanley thermos on the last day of a three month camping adventure. We were very sad as it had served us well. Years later we bought another for nostalgic reasons but it simply will not keep the contents hot. Very disappointed. Waste of money and time – After years being dissatisfied with the performance of the Stanley flask.(never hot after only a few hours), undertook a test comparison with another similar sized, no name brand, cheap flask. still 85c. After 10 hours the Stanley flask was room temperature while the No name brand flask was 60c and still acceptable for use in a hot drink.
Faulty thermos – Easy if it stayed hot only use it when we travel in the caravan ,contacted the seller on EBay said we only give 12 months warranty but you can get a refund or replacement as it has a lifetime warranty at any store that sells Stanley classic bottles Costco perth take it there drive back home all up 600 Klm May as well bin it and count my losses ,a lesson to be learned BUY LOCAL Show details
A disappointment – I used it a few times and it kept the heat pretty well. Soon after the easy pour feature and lid has shown it has a very poor thread. It simply skips the thread and won’t tighten anymore. Hence it goes cold. Poor design. Show details
Good Thermoflask but din last a year – Have an Aladdin flask for 15 years that is awesome. Found out that the brand was sold to Stanley. Bought a 1.4L in Aug 2020. It is a great flask. Fill it with boiling water in the morning and come evening the water will still be piping hot. But a few days ago (June 2021) it has just decided to stop working. How to trash the Stanley product name – 30 odd years ago I bought my first Stanley flask and it served me well for 20 odd years. Since then I have had 3 more Stanley’s each lasting for shorter and shorter times. They all fail the same way, no damage to them but they lose their ability to keep drinks hot. The last one didn’t last a year. I’ve had enough, time to move on to a product that works. Looking for a locally made thermos with a good reputation. Quality is the aim not price. Show details
The best flask ever – I use this flask every working night i am a security officer and have owned a few flasks in my working life but this one is the very best, it keeps my coffee so hot from the time i leave home and the little coffee i have when i return home is still very hot....thank you Stanley for such a good product, and i wish everyone a great day. big disappointment – Absolute waste of money and time, sure while it works its great but a huge amount of them simply fail quickly. I have returned 3 so far that have failed after 1 or 2 fills at best. The camping sports store here in Geraldton W.A that I got these from now refuse to stock them because of the huge amount that get returned which wastes their time.… Read more
They even showed me about a dozen on a shelf waiting for replacement. Shocking quality so be warned. Although the glass ones years ago were fragile that never failed if you didn't drop them lol. If anyone knows of a better brand please let me know.

Don’t buy a cheap imitation go with the best. These do last a life time and if you have any issues the product is very well supported.

radiated heat which made us sceptical that the contents would retain heat.
Our product was unused, in the original box, and forgotten in a home cupboard for over 20 years. We tried it once and will not use it again. We consider it a useless purchase.
Dont waste your money – About 2yrs ago i contacted Stanley on their Lifetime Warranty for my 20 yr old flask , which they replaced straight away -(I had to pay to send the old flask to them- $20). That lasted about 10-12 mths before it wouldn`t keep the water hot, which they replaced again - another $20. Now another 12 mths later the replaced replacement flask no longer keeps water hot either- No More, Keep your Lifetime Warranty. Show details

warranty claim, they just got all sorts of excuses. Forget about it, just move on, avoid this brand. Not worth it.
Part of my every day – I have had this flask for a year now and it is part of my every day. It keeps my tea hot all day long and beyond. I love it. I love Stanley products and I love their customer service and every product I have had has been stellar. Buy it once - buy it for life. Stanley - love your brand.

years back to replace it, used only kindly and sparingly has failed. Even after prewarming the flask etc (something I did not have to with my Aladdin) the Stanley will not keep your water hot for very long. So don't buy it. It is a total waste of money!
