Ordered a garage door through a recommended supplier over two months ago, delivered not once but twice damaged and incomplete. Would strongly suggest avoiding this brand, contacted them several times during attempting to get an acceptable redelivery date however they just didn't care.
Stramit are really good – I've bought from Stramit for over 10 years. They are a manufacturing whole-sale company and only deal with account customers. If you want to by a small item you will need to go to a distributor of their products. Their steel, sheeting and flashings are excellent.
Short Back and Sides Service – I telephoned the Maddington office of Stramit to request a quotation for a length of garage door weather seal. I was advised the local depot did not carry the product and I would have to telephone the head office in the eastern states. The reason "they have more garage doors there". and advised that I could place an order with the Maddington branch who would then place the order with their office and for an additional $10 the item would be posted to me. That sounded plausible so back to Maddington where I was told the person in the east had it all wrong. I hung up in disgust. Stramit is not a company one would want to deal with unless you have a stack of time up your sleeve, prepared to endure cauliflower ears and put up with laziness and incompetence.
All this is a reflection on very poor management.
