My question is, Why would anyone buy from strandbags? They are expensive for what they sell, they don't honor their receipt that clearly states you are entitled to a refund, exchange or store credit. If the item is not suitable. Also, as it has a 10 warranty and breaks after 2, I think this is covered by what they print on their receipt. You are better off buying a cheaper bag and it will still last a few years before you have to replace it. I brought a flylite bags and the wheels broke, it has been deemed wear and they won't repair or replace the bag. So I am going to put this on any social media that I can to inform people not to buy from them due to bad service.
I have a Flylite suitcase that is about 3 years old and the retractable handle now no longer extends. Is this considered wear and tear?

i bought a Fly Light suitcase ..use first time on my holiday ..on the very first way to my holiday destination ,it was ripped apart ..i totally believe is a very poor quality ..took back to the store ,,they asked for my receipt ,,which i lost it ..but i'm their member ..they can't find it out ..so they can't refund or replace it ..what should i do ..??,, next week travel again & i don't have a suit case .,..any one can help me ..please ..!!
A similar thing has happened to me. My Flylite is still under warrantee and the telescopic handle has broken. Cannot get it fixed as don't have the receipt and I too am a member. I was told because the actual store that I bought it from has changed franchisee, then they don't have the records available. This is incorrect as you can go into any Strandbag and they can bring up your member details. I think the new store franchisee just didn't want to bother. Have to buy a replacement handle up online and replace it myself

Hello, I purchased a handbag 5 months ago and the handles have broken. Can this item be replaced?
Purchased at retail store Dec 2019 a Lanza suitcase zipper is now broken. There is a 7 year quality Guarantee on this item Store advised me they will refund me the money I paid But I do not want to buy another suitcase that is now double the price I paid for this one. The Guarantee states "In the event of a fault occuring due to defective workmanship and/or materials please return it to one of our stores, where we will gladly repair your luggage item free of charge (Proof of Purchase provided) Please clarify that my original purchase will either be repaired or replaced FOC ??

I purchased a mid sized flylite bag with 15 year warranty just 10 days ago and one of the wheels has fallen off already. Thus was very very inconvenient and absolutely irritating as I struggled to wheel the bag around during my travel. What are my options? I have the receipts and documents. If you still have the receipt take it back to your store. They will assess if it was airline damage or a faulty item. 9 times out of 10. They can exchange the suitcase.... personally upgrade to an American Touister brand as they are made by Samsonite. 10 yr GLOBAL WARRANTY. If anything was to go wrong with your luggage while overseas (provided it wasn’t airline.... I will explain what to do in a minute), you find a SAMSONITE dealer whilst you’re there. ( pack your receipt with you or photocopy it). They fix, repair or exchange whilst you are overseas.... WHEN ANYONE is at the airport with their luggage...CRUCIAL THAT YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS 1. VIDEO YOUR LUGGAGE, BRING YOUR EXTENSION HANDLE UP AND DOWN WITH YOURSELF TALKING AND EXPLAINING THAT THE HANDLE IS IN “PERFECT CONDITION AND WORKS PERFECTLY” 2. HAVE YOUR SUITCASES ON THEIR SIDE SO YOU CAN SEE ALL FOUR WHEELS OR DUAL WH EELS (8), MOVE THEM IN CLOCKWISE AND ANTI-CLOCKWISE MOTIONS. AGAIN VERBALLY STATING THAT “ALL”.... EMPHASIS ON “ALL” ARE WORKING PERFECTLY, NO SCUFFING ON BACK WHEEL ATTACHMENTS. 3. SUITCASE ZIPPERS... (YES SOME TOGGLES ...THE CLIPS THAT GO INTO THE LOCKING MECHANISM.. CAN SNAP). VIDEO THIS AS WELL AGAIN BE VERBAL AND CLEAR IN YOUR SPEECH. YES THEY ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. ETC. Do this PRIOR to boarding any mode of transport... airport, cruise, train etc. it gives YOU a personal timeline from when you’ve checked in..... to when you collect your luggage at the other end of your journey. When recollect your luggage, do it all over again following steps 1 to 3. Anything that wasn’t there before..... you now have PROOF OF AIRLINE DAMAGE and your personal travel insurance will cover the cost and the airline WILL HAVE TO REIMBURSE YOU.
