Perfect toast every time and it cost nothing! – We had a Sunbeam kettle and the handle fell off. It was just over two years old and I wrote a scathing review on ProductReview.com.au. This review was read by the people at Sunbeam who after a bit of negotiation they decided to honour the warranty. As I had already purchased a new kettle, they offered me other products and we chose the Sunbeam… Read more ·  1

Alinea Select 2 Slice TA2820W (White). We could have chosen the four slice but two slice meets our needs. This toaster has a list price of $149 which in my opinion it top of the range for such a humble kitchen appliance. What I like about it: Once you have your settings correct you never have to change them. Supplies beautifully cooked toast just the way we like it. Great variety of settings including gluten free. Other settings depend on what type of bread you are toasting; white/grain/rye/sough dough/crumpet or fruit. What I don't like: It is not a cool touch toaster and it takes a while to cool down. Overall, worthy of a five star review.

Expensive Crap – Purchased this after reading the reviews. I wanted a good toaster for crumpets. The only bread this cooked well was fruit bread. The crumpets needed two goes one on a full setting then watch it when pushed down again. Still not cooked evenly. Muffins took more than one go and were not cooked on the bottom. Going back for a refund in the next day or so. Show details

Really good toaster but – I’m enjoying my new toaster but have to say that the User Guide that accompanies it could be improved by including some detailed operating instructions. I’ve discovered how it operates mostly by trial and error.  Show details

A Gluten Free persons dream! – Let me paint a picture of what a normal day cooking my Helgas Gluten Free Soy and Linseed bread in the past has looked like - I push down the bread on say setting 5. Once the cycle is complete and pops up, the toast is barely crispy. So I decide to pop it down again and will either a) cancel the cooking process multiple times until my bread is… Read more ·  1

toasted to my liking OR b) leave it cook and come back to find that it is burnt to a crisp.

With my Alinea Select Toaster this little morning adventure no longer exists. This toaster has a button that takes into account the very fact that often gluten free bread is more dense and requires a little more cooking time!

It took me a little bit of getting used to - for instance on my first use I forget to set the browning setting and accidentally ran through the cycle on a browning setting of 1 (whoops!). But once you select your browning setting bread type (my go to for the above mentioned is GRAIN) and hit that Gluten Free button, the toaster does the rest for you.

It does still have a quick check function if, like me you’re still a little paranoid about trusting a toaster to actually cook your gluten free toast right!

But I am absolutely loving having this little breakfast helper on my bench top - and it doesn’t look half bad either, I mean, who doesn’t love classic matte black.

Nice toaster – Loved Matt finish and settings for different breads. It helps to share the toaster with flat mates/ family who have different preference of bread. Great looking design sitting on kitchen bench top. I would love a dust cover as we are getting little bugs and ants during summer. Show details

Stylish and toasts sourdough well – I wanted a toaster that produced a crispy, well-browned slice of low-sugar toast. This delivered. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the bread selector is not obvious to use. The high-lift is great and the toaster looks good. Show details
