Awful cheap rubbish!!!! – Brand new out of box,go to use it for first time and lever won't stay down. The heating elements come on indicating its working but you have to hold lever down the whole time to toast the bread. Lever is like plastic toy. Trying hard to get refund or exchange. Plus all crumbs come out at bottom all over bench, crumb collection tray doesn't work at all. Don't waste your money.

Purchased in at Big W Online Store for $49.

Not bad – We've had the white version for about 12 months with no functional issues. This toaster is fine if you get it on sale and just need something that's not defective. Pros: - Has sufficient plastic area on top around the opening that can be touched without burning yourself. My previous toaster only had a thin plastic border on top, so it was too easy to burn your fingers on the bare metal.

- No functional problems in over 12 months. - Doesn't say Smegma on it, thank god.

Cons: - The hi-lift lever is poorly designed. When you lift it to get your bread out, it doesn't stay up, it drops back down. So you always need two hands free, one to hold the lift up and the other to grab the toast. No good if you've got a plate in one hand. My previous toasters would stay lifted up when I let go of the high-lift lever. I'm just using regular bread, if anything the slices are on the smaller side.

- It doesn't toast evenly. But what toaster does? Seriously, I want to know because it's like trying to find a unicorn. How many decades have toasters been around and yet they still can't do the ONE JOB they're supposed to? This is why expensive $100+ toasters are a scam, it's all the same innards that don't toast properly. Anyway, I toast twice on a lower setting and flip the bread around the second time to make it toast evenly. I've had cheaper toasters that were really uneven, so this model is not the worst.

Purchased at Target Australia.

Excellent toaster – I use thick sliced bread and crumpets in the toaster, it works very well with no sticking. I like my toast lighter than my husband and the settings work well for us.

Purchased in at Catch.
