it was great for 20 months ... then the elements failed and now it's game over the sad thing is, we're dont use it often (once or twice a week - tops) ... was expecting a much longer tenure than that my advice - buyer beware
bargain – Have been disappointed with various toasters over the years so before buying another one we decided to use Product review's web site to ascertain what was on offer and what the opinion of buyers were. We did not have a budget in mind but was quite surprised to see how bad many ratings were on expensive well branded toasters and ended up paying only $49 for this Sunbeam model. We have had it for a while now and could not be happier with the product. It actually toasts evenly on both sides which has always been a problem with most of the toasters we have previously purchased.

Excellent toaster in the lower price range – reasonable price and toasts bread. Defrost setting works. High lift check very handy for some types of bread. Toast settings consistent (I find bread from the fridge toasts best for me between 6-7). I have had the unit for 2 months (Big W special) and it still works fine. Only negative is if toasting only one thin slice, it could pop out of the toaster. Takes longer to toast for some breads or crumpets/muffins, but you soon work it out. The exterior is cool to touch, so big plus and has a removal crumb catcher and reheat function which works ok. Good toaster in price range and still looks good, so very happy with my purchase.

Best ever toaster – I have purchased only expensive toasters in the past. I decided on the 2 slice sunbeam toaster due to looks and price. This toaster has out performed all. It toasts BOTH sides on the bread. What more can you ask from a toaster. My expensive toaster I would have to turn the bread each time. Not anymore.

Broke after 4 months – This toaster broke after 4 months. We'd use it no more than 3 times a week. The lever doesn't go down to cook the bread. Tried contacting sunbeam and they make it very difficult
