would not want this to happen to someone else and result in an injury. The response was sorry to hear that but out of warranty with no care factor. Very disapointing.
Looked nice but deteriorated quickly – Looked nice when I bought it 4 years ago, but after about two years rust stared appearing externally in the two points where the handle attaches to the body. I'll have to throw it out soon, which is disappointing - I normally get about 10 years out of appliances. Show details
Beautiful kettle so sad it doesn't last – Had this kettle 2 years love it! Looks great works well. However it is becoming corroded around all the seams. I'm so sad about this as we keep it clean daily and I would expect it to last 5 to 7 years as have all my previous sunbeam kettles. for 35 years until the ceramics inside burnt out). Please look into the design of these kettles for the future as it is not good for your great reputation for loyal customers to pay a premium price and have a short lived product.

but this is disappointing: – Love the kettle BUT after almost 2 years the clear plastic water window on the side has come loose and leaks all over the bench. Asked Sunbeam (via their website form) if there is an adhesive or sealant I could use repair the fault. No response after 8 days and after asking again - nothing after over 2 weeks. If that is the life expectancy - not worth the $140

Beautiful to look at but as much use as a chocolate teapot – Probably the worst kettle i have ever owned, i also have the toaster which is not much better. Kettle does not boil to correct temperature anymore but on odd occasions it will not turn off either. Have to stand over it and am annoyed as there are much cheaper kettles available such as i have purchased in the past and they all worked better and lasted longer.The toaster is slow on the right hand side and always has been. Designed to fail – I love the look and colour of this kettle but sadly has a poorly designed handle which has now come unstuck. Had for less than 2 years. I do not wish to be throwing out an otherwise functioning but unusable unfixable product and replacing so quickly. Not impressed and it was not cheap either. Shame Sunbeam. Show details
Terrible – Purchased in May 2016. August 2017 it dies. The light works but no boiling function as mentioned by a previous review. it was extremely noisy when boiling. Checked the warranty and although only covered by a 12-month bogus warranty, we took it back to JB HIFI who upon our insistence gave us a full refund. We purchased a Breville. use your Australian Consumer rights and insist that the place of purchase remedies your major failure as they are legally required to.
Expensive, Poor Quality & Warranty Useless – Purchased in July 2016. March 2017 it is dead. The light works but no boiling function. It is by far the noisiest kettle we have ever owned, can't hear the TV once the kettle is boiling. This could be why it broke. Checked the warranty and it is return to Sunbeam at Botany and owner is responsible for the postage. $125 kettle vs $60 to ship… Read more

Dark blue – Searched for a long time for a new kettle. Read many reviews but settled on this model. Light weight, quick boil, no steam on the handle when pouring water. Yep, very happy. The dark blue colour is only available at Harvey Norman. Looks great (won't clash) next to stainless steel products. Show details
Stylish – Firstly this is my 4th and last attempt at buying a kettle this year. I have trouble holding a heavy kettle. A traditional style that is reasonably light when filled with water. Sturdy with a bit of bling. The colour blue is lovely. All in all very happy with it. Show reply
