Kettle shedding top layer of colour – Sunbeam said 'exposure to heat and steam' could be the cause - it's a kettle! It's functional but messy and you don't want the flakes ending up in your drinks/food. Stainless steel only from now on.

Not impressed – Bought as a matching set. The kettle is an expensive product that lacks quality. After use the kettle leaks water, sitting in puddles of water on top of its electric bases. Extremely dangerous. Products of this cost should last, disappointed is an understatement. Product is now discontinued wonder if this is why? Show details
Super stylish and works perfectly! – Bought this kettle months ago to replace my old leaky one (not Sunbeam) and couldn’t be happier! I’m surprised with all the negative reviews. It’s super stylish - I bought the matching toaster - heats quickly, easy to fill with the button for the lid on the handle and the pouring spout is nice and large. The little ring of light to indicate operation is also a nice touch. Great kettle! Show details
Paint peeling off – Awful , spent alot of money to go with matching toaster, I always gently wipe with microfibre cloth and the paint is starting to come off, very un hygiene, so dissapointed, will not be buying sunbeam again or recommending it, will be going to jb hi fi for proof of receipt Show details
Beyond Cheap quality – Have bought both NY Keattle and a toaster-both disaster. Kettle- leaks water o the base and table, big rust spot on the water level window( right above the power on|off button- so dangerous), white colour peels off- only used for 5-6 months. to clean it inside. Toaster- defrost button stopped working after 5 months, one side of the roster is jammed and doesn’t hold toast down- can’t use it. CHEAP CHEAP QUALITY! My 15$ generic brand Kmart kettle still running with no issues for 5 years now! I guess it says it all!
Leaks water everywhere – This kettle looks really nice, and boils the water quite quickly, however over the last couple of days when I go to the kettle to make my morning coffee, I find that the kettle is sitting in a large puddle of water. There are no obvious holes or splits, so it must be an faulty internal seal, or a seam has let go. This product is only 4 months old. Not good enough for a kettle costing $150.00.
