Unsafe – This kettle is unsafe. Bronze on the handle bubbling off and this morning it boiled dry for 20 mins as the switch didn’t flick up and filled my Butler’s pantry with steam. Due to it being almost two years old haven’t bothered pursuing a refund as Sunbeam only have a 12 month warranty on this product Show details
Quality product – I ordered this online to match my new kitchen It looks even better in reality. Thus kettle has quality you can see and feel. Lovely black and rose gold design Power cored is extendible or keep tucked in for less cord show in the kitchen Light up around the bottom when on And apart from the quality I love that it looks great on my bench no need to hide it away. Health and safety risk - should be recalled – Purchased 5 months ago and barely used until last few weeks. The paint on the handle above the spout has already bubbled from the steam and chipped off so this has been going into the kettle and I have been drinking this!! not keep the receipt. This kettle is flawed by design and is both a health risk and safety risk - why hasn’t it been recalled?
One Star is for appearance only – I purchased this kettle also because of its great appearance. However the bronze colour melted off above the spout and the spout was filled with it. this kettle had been taken off sale now for safety. Looking here i see it is still for sale. Maybe it has not caused my health problem as I cannot find in the components list any health problem but I hope they do take it off and issue a warning just in case. Also because the coating melts off. I am able to get a refund.
Do not buy – 3 months use & this kettle is losing its finish on the handle in several places where the steam hits. Customer service not interested - will only replace. Don’t want another one! Show details

Smells like plastic – We have boiled water a dozen times and the kettle still smells of plastic. The water gauge on the outside is a little tacky once the water has been boiled also. Not sure if this is dangerous Show details
