RIP little toaster – This toaster literally just had the solenoid fail after 11+ years of use. If I could have got a replacement solenoid for it probably would have lasted another 11 years. Annoying they used anti-tamper screws on the bottom of the case but apart from that RIP little toaster and enjoy toaster heaven. very poor product – redeemed Qantus rewards points for get this item , it broke after 1 month of using it , got a replacement under warranty and now 1 year later it has shorted out . very disappointed with this product , I will not purchase another sunbeam product of any type

Useless – My toaster of 12 months was burning my toast so it was replaced 3 months later the new one it setting off my safety switch so because it was given to me out of good will I don't get a new one thanks sunbeam now I don't have a toaster

pressure to engage the toaster to cook, and took numerous attempts before engaging. The high lift lever did not raise the crumpets above the top as claimed in the manual and pictured on the box and their website. This resulted firstly in burnt fingers and finally resorted to turning the toaster upsidedown as the only safe way to extract the crumpets. This is when we found the chrome sides are not cool touch as claimed. Packed it straight back up and returned it to Target for a full refund. We purchased a $7.50 Taget Essentials 2 slice toaster , that while very basic and makes no claims, exceeds our expectations and cooks crumpets perfectly.

As a side note, while attempting to select another toaster at Target, the Sunbeam we had used and just returned, was put back on the shelf for resale. We noticed many of the other toasters that were on sale had also been unpacked and wondered if they too had been returned, leading us to purchase the sealed el cheapo.

Poor Product – After a month of semi regular use, the toaster will no longer lock down to cook, it is not cool to touch and very hard to get regular size toast out on it (by regular I mean 95% of bread made) And call customer service? Worst toaster – Bought Sunbeam as I have been loyal to the brand, but I am so disappointed. Even on lowest settings, toast burnt on crusts and one side. Toast was hard to get out, and the chrome finish was too hot to touch even though it was marketed as cool touch. disappointment. The extra lift lever was a total joke - you STILL burnt your fingers tring to get toast out. The settings dial seemed totally ineffectual - all settings gave an underdone centre of the slice but burnt the crust to varying degrees of charcoal. It was not even particularly fast.

Altogether, it offered nothing over what we had, and as it was "Not fit for purpose" in that it destroyed bread rather than toasting it I returned it to K-mart for a refund. Avoid. Cheap, looked OK Hopeless at making toast! What is a toaster for? Burns fingers because bread doesn't lift high enough.
