Sunbeam Rise Up Slice Toaster

Does not toast evenly, leaves the top inch (2.5cm) of a standard sized slice of bread untoasted. Heat setting moves too easily and has to be checked before using it. Waste of money. Tried to put up with it, but replaced it with another brand one month after it was purchased.
Follow-up · Bread used was standard square size, both wholemeal and also multigrain, sandwich thickness, not toasting thickness. The dial was set on 4 for toasting, but very loose, and when I got it out again it would be somewhere near 2 or 3. I got caught the first time and would have to check it and reset it before use.

Sunbeam toaster - a waste of money – As my husband says....it has ONE job....in this case, a toaster only has to toast bread. The Sunbeam 4 slice does NOT toast bread effectively. Yes, this is an inexpensive toaster; but a toaster shouldnt be expensive, it only has one simple job to perform. I hesitated buying it because it looked exactly like the useless kmart toaster I bought a year ago. Purchased from JB for $49, we've had the Sunbeam toaster for a month and I think we have managed to get one decently tanned piece of bread. Forget about getting multiple slices toasted. Setting 2, 2.5, 3, 4.....it makes no difference. A waste of money.

A good small toaster – A very simple yet efficient toaster. If you need a small appliance that does the job, look no further. Value for money, efficient, quick, various settings, cancel button, small and discrete. I purchased the white colour so it doesn’t stand out too much in my kitchen.
