Sunbeam Stainless Professional Wok WW8900B Questions & Answers
Verifiedi just want to know if i can remove the wok itself and clean it separately so the electric components wont be wet while washing it
We have a Sunbeam stainless professional WOK ww 8900 B . The trigger-release Heat control Probe with 15 heat settings Is not working any more!! -Are there any Probes what will fit on ww 8900 B Wok?? Regards Abraham , bramsary@bigpond.com
Hi Abraham, I have just sent you a private message if you could kindly respond via this please. Thanks
Am I able to buy a power cable for sunbeam professional stainless steel wok? My cord has broke.
You could ask a handyman to repair it or phone Sunbeam on their help line. Google Sunbeam to get number!
Try Sunbeam for a replacement or to replace the cord. Otherwise suggest you get the cord replaced by a qualified repair person. Note that it requires a triangular tamper proof screwdriver to pull apart, and requires a heat resistant cord as used on other hot kitchen appliances to protect against melting when it accidentally touches the wok while hot.
Hi Saia, Yes your certainly can! Spare parts are sold through Sunbeam Service Agents. Please follow the below link to locate your nearest agent. external link The part number you require is= TC0710 Sunbeam
Just go the Salvation Army stores.they have boxes of these electric cord., goos as new.I paid just $1.00 for mine
I cannot find one of these anywhere?
Heard they took them off the market because of poor performance - lack of heat in bottom. We're no longer happy with ours, because the heat is on the sides and not very much by comparison, on the bottom! The meals we cooked in ours when I wrote the first review were big meals for several people so the food was up the sides where the heat is, but cooking small amounts for just 2 people, the heat problem on the bottom is a major flaw!
Hi Dee,
I do apologise although the WW8900B has now been discontinued and no longer available for purchase.
Sunbeam
I have looked everywhere for a stainless steel electric wok that does not have the teflon type non-stick coating finish.
The Sunbeam WW8950 7.5L Ellise is exactly what am am after but no-one has it in stock.
Does Sunbeam know where I can purchase the Wok mentioned? Or does Sunbeam make a similar "only stainless steel" Wok?
Either phone them on their 1300 number of email from this website external link
Hi Stubey, I have a used Sunbeam 7.5 L Professional Stainless Steel wok in excellent condition for sale $45. Rrp was $169. I'm in Victoria's East Gippsland. Paul..Mob 0423319285
The stainless steel wok was recalled for safety reasons, when will it be available again?
I couldn't find anything on-line about it being recalled. I also registered the product on the Sunbeam website so they know my contact details and if it were a safety hazzard, I would have thought they would have notified me, so not sure what you are referring to. Where did you see that? Are you sure it was the Elise WW8950? There is also nothing listed on the government safety recall website which appears to be right up-to-date and is searchable. external link
Tried to buy one, and I was told by the sales person. Perhaps a ploy to get me to buy a different brand, if concerned I would suggest you contact Sunbeam. I have the previous model and use it a great deal, it is a great Wok.
I was trying to buy the new model as a gift for a friend.
Where can I buy one of these now. I bought one some time ago, and want to buy another for a gift but harvey norman, big w etc etc dont seem to stock anymore
Hi Shona.mulholland.3, Our new model WW8950 will be available for Xmas and should be in stores end of November. All major retailers like Harvey Norman, Myer, Good Guys will have stock.
