They used to be good years ago – What happened to these I just ate a massuman and they have changed them into some chemical tasting rubbish. I imagine they have gone cheap on the ingredients absolute trash. These meals were really good when they first came out I would constantly eat them for on the go meals at school and work now they are so bad, it's a real shame.shameshame Show details

Horrible – A lesson to me..dont go supermarket shopping when hungry. I bought the satay version of this..heated according to instructions..but found it impossible to eat due to the ghastly smell and taste..the portion looks like a smear on the bottom of the container. Its a pity because we're always on the lookout for a quick tasty snack for our ravenous 12 year old. A complete waste of time and money. Show details

Not the best, but at least it’s convenient – I brought this curry from Woolworths for $5, because I had a craving for green curry but can’t be bothered with cooking or take away, little alone the dishes afterwards. My partner makes beautiful green curry, but she was away on holiday. I’m a curious monkey and open to things, so I had to give it a try. I don’t think highly of microwave… Read more

meals, but I was hoping this would surprise me and be really nice. Well unfortunately it didn’t . It tasted like a typical microwave meal- bland.

I know how green curry should be and I can tell you this is not how it should be.

The chicken had an unusual texture and was dry. The rice was not right, it was crumbly. It didn’t smell right either. The spices were not balanced. The coconut flavouring smelt artificial. To be honest it was quite bland. But I suppose it’s convenient food and will rarely be as good as the curry from a restaurant or home made.

But at least I know now. I suppose this is good as an emergency back up food. Not a meal fit for a king, but fit for a bloke who’s short of time.

This product is tasteless & no value – I bought 3 at Woolworths Lalor, Green Chicken, Terriyaki Chicken & Satay Chicken. A packed bowl of rice & a satchel of the various chicken mix. The satchel portion is so small it wouldn't feed a child. Also it was tasteless & we threw it out. They are hocking these at $4.00 each & we have worked out it would cost less than 50 cents to make & package, A complete rip off, Stay away from this product.

First time: very good, and more chicken!Slurp – I usually don't buy microwave meals, but this time I did not want to cook.. so here I am! The box said more chicken added, and I think the ratio rice/chicken + sauce is nice. So for a quick meal this was good and satisfying, thanks SunRice!

i actually had the massaman chicken curry – Loved it, read reviews after I bought it and worried it would taste tooooo much like fish shrimp paste, which I hate. However once heated I added a tsp of homemade chilli jam, delicious and good heat flavour balance. Could have been more....saucy!

Thai green curry – I stumbled about this today during lunch and was very pleasantly surprised! Along with the $4 price tag, much better than the chicken frozen meals i have had. The chicken tasted like chicken, the portion was a great size and am definitely trying the other ones! i also wondered how the meat keeps as it is not frozen but im sure the airtight foil maintains it The portion, price Didn't expect the sauce to be that hot! Show reply

Surprisingly ok for a microwave meal – I had not expected much from this meal. I only took it for our first night camping as we would arrive late and this seemed easy. And it could not have been easier for camping. All I had to do was boil water and put the pouches in for a few minutes. Then I could eat the meal in the provided container with the provided plastic spoon. But the… Read more

biggest surprise was that it actually tasted ok! I ate all of it. It wasn't a big portion and it had more sauce than meat or veggies, but I thought it was overall better than most of the frozen meals I have tried. In fact, it had about 5 or fairly decent sized chunks of chicken which is actually more than you find in most frozen meals! The chicken tasted like chicken too, the beans tasted fresh and the sauce had a good flavour.

I wouldn't want to eat it every day but I will definitely purchase this again for camping and maybe as an emergency meal at home.

PS: My daughter said the sweet and sour chicken was pretty good too. Ease of preparation, easy storage (no cooling), taste Small portion, not much meat
