These cameras and the whole Swann MaxRanger system work really well. We use it on a rural property, where the cameras are a few hundred metres from the base station, which is in a house in the middle of the farm. Video quality is excellent, and all of the monitoring on the phone works perfectly. We did have some issues with cameras that wouldn't stay charged despite plenty of sunlight and facing north. Swann worked through these issues with us and replaced the faulty cameras, including some replacement cameras they had sent that wouldn't work. We have had this system for about 18 months now, and I rate it as excellent. I have read other reviews with some people having issues, but the wireless connection between the cameras and the base station is quite robust. I believe that if you have the ability to muck around with external antennas to the base station, you could far exceed the distance that Swann claims. I have bought a second unit for a second rural property, and it also ties into the app despite being a separate system. A very simple, easy-to-install system that has incredible functionality for the money.
